It's funny how A&M fans all of a sudden have this confidence about them. Wanting to come to the SEC because they think it would be better for them except they are 0-4 against them in the last 2 years
All of the Kool-Aid drinking cult members at A&M come over here. I'm glad I never dipped in that Aid
We've got until February to take him back and it won't even take that long

Who was the WR that committed to A&M early then switched to us when we offered him? Don't act like it's unprecedented.

Fobbs?
Yes, it is possible he will switch.

Jarrett Fobbs. A guy I went to school with was writing for A&M's Rivals site and is now on their 24/7 site somehow (Taylor Hamm) and he was complaining to me that he betrayed A&M and blah blah blah. The guy is a dumbass and I'm surprised he got even one recruiting job

Yeah I tried to contact them but never heard back.

Scout or Rivals is yet to confirm, so I'll wait to see quotes from Phillips before I believe some hack A&M reporter.

I really like this board but it's starting to get that Orangebloods feel. Blind arrogance is not an admirable trait. We all know NSD is 10 months away and anyone feeling comfortable with any verbal is setting themselves up for disappointment at this phase of the game, but it is still fun to get excited even if you have tournament basketball to get ready for.
Happy St. Patty's day and

Phillips and his family have made multiple trips to A&M. I'll bet some brisket that this young man sticks with his decision.

Far from it.
You're arguing with the know-it-all's right now.
There's about 4 posters hanging around this board right now this early in the class.
Orangebloods is as bad as BOL.

Too early in the game to be that confident.
We'll see what happens.

Something tells me LSU won't be getting him.
I hope you don't feel 100% secure. It doesn't mean anything until the LOI is signed. It's so far to NSD he could change his mind 15 times.
And I'm not bitter; I also hope we close the deal with Avery Johnson. Any Aggies touting the fact that he committed to them instead of us is just as arrogant and irrational to think you have nothing to worry about.

I may have posted this in one of the earlier pages, but I really like the look of this kid and I hope that LSU is putting the full court press on him. He would be another tremendous asset to our already dominant Defense for years to come.
However, I've read through the last few pages and its apparent that he committed to TAMU last night. My question is........why?
No offense to the TAMU visitors, but this guy is a standout defensive player in a state where the home school is known for having a great defense, has won 2 BCS NCG in the last 8 years, has great defensive coaches, and sends many defensive players to the NFL. I know why he would go to LSU.
I don't know why he would go to A&M. They aren't very good and they will continue to not be very good for the forseeable future. They're a middle of the road team in a downward spiraling conference that can't compare with the SEC. So, what is it? Does he have a friend or relative that plays for A&M? Did one of his parents graduate from there? Surely there is a reasonable explanation for a highly rated LA player to commit this early to a school other than LSU, or another recent national champion SEC team like Bama/Auburn/Florida.
Anyone know?

I got to give it to A&M the coaching staff is putting in work in Louisiana. I still think we will regret not signing that special teams coordinator from Notre Dame, though we shall see.

Fobbs is a different situation. Phillips has an offer from LSU and has chosen to go to A&M. Fobbs had no offer from LSU and chose A&M. When he got his LSU offer a few days before signing day he ended up making the switch then.
Those are two different situations.. not saying it couldn't end in LSU's favor, but they are different situations and A&M has a reason to feel more confident in this one.
As for your buddy who was butt hurt over losing Fobbs.. all fans get butt hurt over last minute commitment changes and think kids betray their school. Do they have a point? Yes. Do all schools get/lose players at signing day? Yes. Is it the nature of the beast that is college football recruiting? Absolutely.

This is why the A&M fan was comparing the site to Orangebloods. This is moronic.
