I'll be bringing some "Smoke Ring" brisket this fall to an LSU tailgate ... probably the Kentucky or Florida game ... I've got a Tiger co-worker and buddy; I'm bringing brisket to Baton Rouge for the LSU game, and he's bringing the Buffalo Trace to Kyle Field for either A&M vs OkState or A&M vs t.u.

Since I'm a lurker and rarely post I'll start by saying I'm not here to argue. Just for rational discussion which seems to have been the case on this thread except for a couple of posts
-----------------
Lot's of definitive post on this thread. Nothing is ever "always" or "never".
As long as LSU is a good program they will get the majority of athletes they want from LSU. When they are a great program (last 10 years) they will get almost every one. But these are still 18 y/o kids and they cannot all be lumped together. You win them all individually one at a time and any individual recruit is capable of choosing a school that isn't LSU
*****
I would also like to laugh at the small dick guy that claimed a bogus PhD from Yale. I bet if he could afford it he would drive a real fast car

He comes across a lot like Holt (white guy)...

Didn't Brandon Jackson get an offer very late, but stuck to his word with aTm?
Edit: sorry to nit pick your post, trying to figure out if I remember correctly. But I do see what you are getting at. No player LSU recruited from start to finish with the intent to sign went to aTm over LSU.

i doubt we went after jackson

Jackson did get an LSU offer late in the process. But it was ridiculously late, like a week before signing day

Big Kat is correct but on signing day morning his offer was no longer commitable.JC Copeland and Ego Ferguson had taken his schollie. So basically he wouldn't have been able to commit at that point anyway.Either way he likely would've gone to TAM anyway.

Something tells me LSU won't be getting him.

He's visiting LSU this weekend, it's far from over
Posted on 3/16/11 at 11:51 pm to SpreadsheetAg
Either way, I bet if we continue to press him, that he will sign with LSU.
