From having a great day on the court do you think the rankings will go up in the top 100?

Does it really matter in the big picture?

Williams was higher then Reid before he got in trouble. Now Reid definitely has a broader skill set and will Probably be a one and done. But williams is no slouch. I said in a different thread that I beleive if he could be a damn effective small forward/wing if we accept that all his points would be dunks and free throw rim aggression type plays. Because he looks athletic as heck to me.

Willams has a ton of talent and can stroke the 15 to 18-foot jump shot as well, but the best attribute he brings to LSU is his tough physical attitude. Can't wait to watch this team come together next year.

Let's not forget about the "fly-swatter" Bigby-Williams

Yeah. Literally every point i have seen him score has been from 2 or 3 feet away. So if he has a midrange to complement that, he could be starting or at least that kind of minutes

Lets just throw the 4 freshman and waters out there and let them ball

I know it doesnt fit position wise but I'm sure they'll figure it out

I agree that he has the game to play the 3 spot in college. His jumper is not as featured in high school simply because he out muscles these smaller and inferior kids he goes against, but in the college game the need for more shite selection and him playing face to the basket will become far more important. I believe the starting day one lineup will be...

PG- Waters
SG- Smart
SF- Williams
PF- Reid
C- Bigby-Williams

The outside shooting provided by waters and smart will be so formidable that Emmit at the 3 spot will find himself wide open a very considerable amount of times game to game, minute to minute. The spacing those two guards will provide will allow Emmit to play his game as a more athletic and powerful player and get him a lot of looks in isolation and many wide open opportunity. Naz Reid will command so much attention on the block that teams will try to double him and that will only give Emmit even more looks as the wing out there in two man games...Bigby Williams providing the true rim protecting true center that this years squad simply didn't have will allow Naz Reid to not have to guard against the opponents best big and will allow Emmit to play a little two man run at the basket with Reid. I can really envision something along the lines of what AD and boogie do when they are playing together. Just sub in Williams and Reid. The big thing is as good as this years team was scoring the basketball, this next year's team will be that much Better. Waters and smart paired together are going to be a night mare situation for every team we face. The pure scoring ability from top to bottom for that suggested starting lineup is sick man. It will be a very fun sight to see this team about almost done with the non conference games and heading into league play when they have had the time to get it together chemistry wise and really start playing a game without having to think and guess as much as they will getting it going.....Can't wait for this season to come along....LSU with its most talented roster in what will prove to be decades. The pelicans getting boogie back and trying to become true contenders for a title....next season will be the best basketball year that the state has ever seen from the two levels of the game. Book it.

Waters
Mays
Sampson
Williams
Reid

Just my hunch. The two 5-star forwards will start with a veteran backcourt. Coach Wade plays 2 point guards historically, so there will be a consistent 20-25 minutes for Smart in rotation with Waters and Mays. Wade says he did a bad job with Sampson after he returned from injury. So, Sampson is Wade’s pet project for next year. He’s gonna coax a consistent season out of Sampson who will be 2nd Team All SEC. The infusion of talent will make Edwards a helluva 5th guard and Rachal also gets spot minutes at his natural wing position. Bigby-Williams is the 3rd rotational big. A vet like Sims & Days will add more depth up front.

Bigsby Williams will start IMO. In place of Williams.

Otherwise I agree with your lineup.

This team with Smart and Waters will be dangerous. The smarts of those two guards combined with the inside game will be impossible to guard.

With the coaching that Will Wade will give them it will make a formidable team. All these guys are extremly athletic, are good with the ball and long. This team will be tough to guard. Too bad you can't keep guys like these long when you get them but it will be fine to watch for a year!

Just don't see how Williams will start the game on the pine. The only problem with having all 3 of them on the court at the same time is we will be very limited to who will enter the game to give them a breather. As of now they will be our only bigs. I can see Wade running a smaller quicker lineup out there at times though. Would be a hell of a change of pace.

Thanks for the feedback. I know basketball is a bit different than football but I try not to fall in love with anyone until they sign.
