According to Perfect Game he recently turned 18, so he'll be 19 around this time next year

I wasn't quite sure when his Bday was.. I just know my nephew said he was two years older than he is. We know that WM doesn't mind holding one, two, three, or 10 back. We see them every year in Junior High and no way they are junior high kids.

I love watched Bolden play and look forward to seeing him have another All State year this coming up season.

You're from Ruston? Ruston completely dwarfs us at West Ridge. It's not even close in size.

LOL.. This year we had some nice sized kids, okay, they were extremely large... but we have to play 4 WM teams every year.. All of which will comprise one WM Rebels team. And believe me Good Hope, Woodlawn, West Ridge and Riser all had some huge kids on their teams. There is only one Ruston Junior High. There is a kid at Good Hope, his brother plays for WM now and that young kid wears a size 15 shoe and stands 6'+ and every bit of 200+ at DE.

I love that RB at West Ridge that was hurt this year. He will be the future of WM football and someone should start watching him right now. He is the truth. I think his last name is Cooper.

Woodlawn

Actually goes to West Ouachita. But yeah, Good Hope is so much bigger than us. Coop had over a thousand yards in 4 games. He will be really, really good.

Doesn't Woodlawn split between WM and WO? Coop is going to be a player to watch. Talked to his dad last year. He was hurt for the Ruston game and I was a little upset cause I wanted to see him play.

Not to my knowledge. They might've had kids that played for Woodlawn that went to WM due to the fact you can play for pretty much whoever at WOYSA.

You're talking about Aidan Swanner? He'll be at West Monroe next year. His brother Ethan will be a Junior next year. Ethan is great and Aidan should be too.

Bolden is very special. All the intangibles but the greatest is…he's just a play maker. Doesn't matter what position, he will make a play. I agree they should offer. Sooner better than later.

No, Woodlawn ( elementary and jh )is all WO. The closest would be Riser - also elementary and jh - and they go to up to WM.

My 2 sons have been playing against Ruston jh for the last 5 seasons combined and it's not even close with how much bigger Ruston is overall than West Ridge. It's starting to look the same with Good Hope as well. My oldest started school on his 6th Bday instead of 5th, but my youngest refused to be held back with his April Bday - he will be 13 in 2 months. Having said that, there are a few kids on his 7th grade team that turned 14 during the football season (it's obvious when you see them), where as I turned 12 during my 7th grade season

With my late Bday, I had no business being in college at 17. I like kids starting school a year later than I did 40 years ago. I have no problem with kids being 1 year holdbacks, but I don't like listening to parents about how great some kids are when they are 1-2 years older than the other kids on the field.

I met them at Academy last year looking for football cleats. I talked to them, Aidan was bigger then his older brother. They are both really respectful kids. But Aidan is a big kid and when we played Good Hope, he made play after play after play.

That one year does mean a lot. I have witnessed Ruston kids grow from 7th to 8th and it's a sizable difference. Ruston's coaching needs a much needed upgrade, because the talent is there. West Ridge has a very disciplined team and you can tell the players respect the coaches.

In the next 3 to 4 years, Ruston will have one of the biggest teams they have had since the early 90's. When you combine the kids from 3 schools, you get the bigger players from those schools and I saw some really good kids with a lot of size.

Slade is a playmaker. Other than Tahj, Slade was my favorite player in the area along with Meeking from Union. So many on this board said Meeking wasn't impressive, but at 6'4 being a true safety playing QB made him a must watch player. TCU jumped in and got him at the last minute.

LSU should offer Slade because he will make the plays and has an extremely high football IQ.

Who was #66 for Good Hope? He played 7th and 8th grade. He was DT. Man he was impressive.

The young man is John David Johnson. He is an impressive young man. Thick, strong, and quick. He got more snaps and made more plays at DT than a larger and older 8th grader.

Aidan is 6'2" 220. Ethan is 6' 270. But you're right, Aidan has a bigger frame and has potential to be huge. Both great kids.

I was part of the last class from Woodlawn Jr High that had the choice of West Monroe or at that time Calhoun(WO opened in 1989/90). Btw that year was 1987/88. Also West Monroe brought in the freshmen in 1988/89.

He is quite impressive. He is thick and has a lower center of gravity.. He played both games and I don't remember him taking a play off. He got to the quarterback before you could blink an eye.

They are both great kids and they made impression on me the one time we talked and that goes back to their parents! Aidan is a solid 220 and has the potential to be another great DE for the Rebels. I can see Aidan at 285lbs and 6'5. I will be watching him over the next several years.

Slade added offers from Tulane, Texas Tech, and another school yet to be announced today. I don't want to take away from his moment. It's not LSU, just so you don't think I'm teasing something big.
