...according to ESPN Recruiting Nation's Jeremy Crabtree:

quote:

10. Corby Meekins
School: Houston

9. Kerry Coombs
School: Ohio State

8. Ron Burton
School: Michigan State

7. Kevin Sherrer
School: Georgia

6. Harry Hiestand
School: Notre Dame

5. Charles Huff
School: Penn State

4. Curtis Luper
School: TCU

3. Bradley Dale Peveto
School: LSU

ESPN 300 recruits: 5
Top commitment: ESPN 300 No. 64 Eric Monroe

Previous ranking: 1
What his peers are saying: "For my money, Coach Peveto is one of the most underappreciated recruiters in the country," a Big 12 assistant said. "People just take for granted the job that he does every year in Louisiana, because everybody assumes all of those guys are already going to LSU. But it's very competitive in that state, and he does a tremendous job. He's going to have to fight to keep Cameron Lewis away from TCU but he will."

2. Tee Martin
School: USC

1. Tim Brewster
School: Florida State

Used to be #1? No Wilson, Raymond, Steele or Eaux?

He's a great recruiter no doubt, that can't be argued. Frank & Orgeron take the top nod, and I'd say Raymond may edge him out as well. Too many good recruiters on this staff to justify keeping him around if special team woes continue.

He's not LSU's best recruiter. That was never his problem though. Always been a pretty good recruiter it's his coaching that has always been in question.

This line makes me think they mean Frank Wilson or they don't know what they are talking about.

He was hired as the ST coach one year ago. He's been here for ONE recruiting class which he didn't have much to do with. The kids in the future class might like him but he hasn't done anything yet

Sounds like Les is feeding info to espn to help build BDP's resume for when he goes job shopping in December.

isn't BDP the reason why Franks is coming here? BDP is an old family friend, right?

Arent these lists based on recruits committed? Cause in that case you could just have Wilson and Coach O working on big named, uncommitted guys.

So make him recruiting guru or something and get someone competent in as Special Teams Coach.

He clearly does more than we fans think but he's not even in the top 3 of best recruiters on the staff.

I'm for the guy but his coaching sucks.
