IMO, I don’t think Kelly allows Saban to take the top safety in the country from LSUs back yard.

Have to hand it to you. You were right about Derek Williams. Saban dodnt take him.

I agree with this, we may lose out 3-5 spots in the rankings because we load up on really good OL/DL prospects as opposed to higher ranked WR/DB prospects but everyone knows where the SEC is won at. And with the portal WR and especially DBs can be had. Also as Kelly and Polian have alluded to a niche that LSU ahs in the portal are the Louisiana guys that leave but then transfer back to LSU a lot of guys like that in the WR/DB corps.

What do you know about Bisontis, Tigerbait1977??

I've been trying to find out how last weekend's OV went w/ him & Shanahan but everything is hush-hush surrounding the matter.

Please share an update about Bisontis/Shanahan if you have one (I'd greatly appreciate it)....

Hopefully you know I have the utmost respect for your contributions around here. Regarding the above quote:
1) Any number of posters up to speed on our OL recruiting know that Bisontis is high on our list and vice-versa. Accordingly, there are any number of posters who know this and could have made this post but didn't. He could have said Reader, Shanahan, or even Heard for that matter.
2) If you do get a response to your question, it will likely be something to the effect of "my source doesn't want to be named" or some such deflection. Best of luck with that.
3) Like a recent similarly vague post containing common knowledge and lacking any time frame, the poster is passing off commonly shared opinion as a prognostication of his own. It is his M.O.
4) 77 is a wannabe in the truest sense. He wants to be treated/known as someone like you and CC and PP without ever putting in the time or the work to deserve that level of respect/status.
Keep up the good work.

Don’t have much. You are right about everything being hush hush. All I got was a tip about Bisontis and how he had been in contact with TJ shanahan about potentially teaming up. Apparently there is a good relationship with the 2.

The reason I say keep an eye on Bisontis is that there is rumors swirling that he is close to setting a commitment date, and that comes straight after a visit with LSU.

Could be nothing, but just passing that along.

Also I enjoy your posts as I read through from time to time. Appreciate the thoughts.

Thanks for sharing, 77. Appreciate you passing along the info.

And I finally got a report on him, as follows: As is usually the case, the OV went great and LSU is firmly in the mix for him. B. Davis has built a strong relationship with Bisontis, as BD has been recruiting CB consistently for more than a year now. The staff views Chase as a Guard, but Davis assured him that they’ll cross-train him at all 5 OL positions (and he’ll have an opportunity to serve as the ‘Swing’ OL). CB mentioned how he considers relationships the most important aspect of his recruitment, and that relationships w/ coaches & players will be the primary factor in deciding where to go. He also clearly stated that he will be committing sometime during July.

LSU, aTm, Michigan State, & Rutgers make up Bisontis’ Top-4, and he will be choosing one of these programs for college in the next 30 days or so…..
