Serious Recruiting Question

Why does it seem that every year Bama has 20 verbal commitments when LSU has 10 ?
I know verbals aren't binding but I'm really curious what Satan does to get so many early verbals.
Any thoughts ???

I'll try to actually answer your question. The Bama staff puts a lot more pressure on kids to commit on the spot. Les and Co. encourage kids to go through the entire process. That's all I got.

In many years, Bama has trailed in numbers, only to close strong, so you might be off a little bit, here. They are usually on 5star guys that are harder to pull the lever too quickly(like LSU this year)...Also Saban has them wait, so instate pressure doesn't get to them.

this year is definitely an outlier, but it'll all pay off Jan 2

Because Saban will either greyshirt, process, or pull offer if the next best prospect comes along that he can't pass up

FYI I was on this board for 5 years or so & went to Iraq for 18 months. This is a new account but I'm by no means new. Been a Tiger fan since the late 50's. Long enough to qualify ???

Good gosh, this shite again? It doesn't matter when they commit as long as they commit. We will get ours, they will get theirs. Please use another team in your example. We aren't Bama, Bama is not our only competition, and I'm tired of hearing the name of that fricking school in threads. Yes I am mad bro.

I see some things haven't changed
I was hoping the word "serious" might get some serious thoughts. But I guess there's still the people who know very little about football but know alot about how to be a smartass.

Process plus REC money = early commitments and #1 classes

for many years, Mack Brown led the country in early commitments..
It depends on a lot of factors and your overall recruiting philosophy..
I don't think your question is necessarily accurate...
It maybe more perception than reality...
bottom line, it's how you finish..and I think we finish #1 this year
