Temple senior running back Lache Seastrunk will announce where he plans to play college football in a Jan. 27 ceremony, Temple coach Bryce Monsen said Thursday. Seastrunk, Temple's all-time leader in rushing yards and total touchdowns, will make a verbal commitment at 4:15 p.m. at Wildcat Gym. Official NCAA letters of intent cannot be signed until Feb. 3. Leading up to last Saturday's U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Seastrunk said the schools he's considering are - in alphabetical order - Auburn, Louisiana State, Memphis, Oregon and Southern California.
6-12 months ago, I would have been all over this 'ceremony'. It has certainly lost some sizzle, hasn't it?

We need OL who can block way more than a 178 lb RB. Use that slot for another big ugly.

Yeah just like we didn't need Trent Richardson because of the same thing. And look how he turned out. Idiot

LSU is done at running back for this year and next year.

Or we could free up some coaching slots to get guys in there that know how to teach them how to block.
How about that?

Yeah, cool if seastrunk comes to LSU, but i'd rather use that scholly on another badass OL or DL recruit

However my gut and head says that he picks the Oregon Ducks.
I'll join ya with that prediction.

Spencer Ware, Jakari Gore, and Alfred Blue this year. Jeremy Hill, Kenny Hillard, Terrance McGee for 2011 spell the end of the Line for LSU and Lache Seastrunk. Lache could still come here however I would be very very suprised.

I am saying Oregon and LSU. With Dyer going to Auburn, just don't see him going there too, plus they may get Lattimore. Also, I don't see Malzahn staying at Auburn too much longer.
He already cancelled his visit to USC, so I would think they are at the bottom. Memphis I agree is a sleeper. I think he goes to Oregon. Look at what Lemichael James did.

I'm going with the long shot of Memphis. He has connections with the coach and Oregon is a long way off.
LSU looks full at RB and the Auburn mods are saying we are no longer recruiting him. They keep saying the Dyer commit ended any chance of Seastrunk coming to AU. They say we will take Lattimore, but not Seastrunk. It's a weird deal and they kind of hinted that Dyer and Seastrunk don't like each other.

If he wants to go to AU, he will.

The only of these that are pretty much garanteed to play RB are Ware, Gore, and Hilliard.
Blue and Hill could end up being LBs, and Magee could end up playing a couple of positions.....We're not passing on Lache if he wants to come here.

i can't see Hill NOT being a RB imo.

Dyer must have taken Seastrunk's Doritos during Big Cat Weekend.

Looks like LSU fans are split on the whole "LSU is full/not full at RB" thing. I don't see LSU missing out on him, if they have the open spot at RB.
The cat could "shock the world" like he said in the end.
