These three if commit before season will catapult us into Top 5, If Staff can change the minds or “flip” any of these 3 Williams-Ausberry-Mathews, we could be looking at Top3. May not even take any of these latter players mentioned with a few surprises left. Little bird was lightly tweeting that Staff is really giving J Ausberry something to think about. I’m just mentioning those latter 3 because they’re Louisiana boys.

I don't know who your little bird is, but they have been pressing on Ausberry. Whether or not it will work remains to be seen.

Just being realistic here - When the dust settles after signing day, we should be Top 10. Top 5 is wishful thinking and Top 3 is highly unlikely, just because of the 5 stars and high 4 stars likely to still land with some other schools.
That said, from where we started and all the freaking out people were doing, to where we are currently, will likely end up for 2023, and are starting off with 2024, we should be pretty happy.

Looks to me like Top 4 will be Ohio St.,Notre Dame, Alabama, Georgia(not necessarily in that order). They may have too high a composite rating to pass. I think we finish around 5 to 9 judging by closer teams ratings compared to us so far.

Anyone know if we have a real shot at landing Toviano, or is he still heavily favored to Texas? I thought he was in play at one point.

Just based on what they have committed currently, they'd have been #6 in 2022 Recruit Only rankings from 247...

Top 5 is very much attainable. No one really knows what may happen once the season gets started. LSU could easily flip several guys and even if we don’t flip any, we could still battle for the remaining guys and land in the top 5-8. 2024 is wide open for LSU so I won’t even go there just yet.
Top 3 may be wishful thinking but top 5-8 is likely where we end up. I don’t think we land further than #8. Some of our guys will rise and we will end up flipping some others. Now some things will have to go right for us to get to #5 but at the same time some things will have to go wrong for us to drop to #8 or outside of that. Things are headed in that right direction now so I have no reason to believe it’ll go stagnant or won’t continue.

If we finish with the guys we’ve all discussed here, I don’t really care what the final ranking is. I know we’ll have an excellent, championship caliber class.
We can’t control if the final top uncommitted guys(besides our targets) all go to Alabama, UGA, and OSU and they vault ahead of everyone else.
