Will be really interesting to see what happens if Bama offers him a schlorship. My guess is they will. Right now he says he's firm.

Bama doesn't need another safety commit.

i really hope. But from his interview that was linked yesterday, it did sound like he would bolt if Bama came calling.

Really ? To me he sounded rather emphatic that his word to LSU was his bond. Sure he's 17 and anything can change, but I didn't see anything in that article yesterday that even hinted he would go to Tuscaloosa.

What did he say that makes you think this?

I saw his video interview and when asked about his commitment to LSU, he said LSU and Alabama are his top schools and he is pretty much committed to LSU.
Again as drexly said, might be two people interpreting differently. I hope I am wrong in this one.

I saw the same interview. Went on about his word etc. Just after his mention of Bama as #2 possibility he said he is 100% to LSU.
I'm an eternal pessimist and I gathered that he is heading to LSU no matter what.

Here's an article posted today. Sounds like he's been through a lot and has a solid family at this point. Says he'll keep his word to LSU. I hope so.

It seemed to me that Gibson would prefer to go to Alabama. It appears that keeping his word is something that's important to him, though, so I would have to guess right now that we still keep him if Bama offers, but this might be one of those NSD things where you really want his fax to come in early.

This may help you sleep at night.
You're welcome

Perry feels Gibson can "play any position he wants to" in the SEC, including quarterback.
"I'm pretty sure Alabama will offer him when they see what he can do for real this season," he said.
Gibson is not likely to budge if that time comes.
"I gave LSU my word and I don't want to go back on my word."
You're welcome

How many times does it have to be said, he is a man of his word? He says he won't go back on it and his coach says he isn't a guy that would. LSU Lock
His coach said he asked him early on in the recruiting process where he wanted to go and Sam said LSU.

Yeah, I think he's as solid as any of our OOS commits. There's always a chance, but why dwell on it?
Move on folks.

He's excited about being a Tiger. His official visit will be for the Florida game so that should lock him up for good.

I don't have any hard facts why I believe this might get interesting, other than the fact that Bama has not offered at this point and his best friend is going there, which would certainly seem to have some influence. It's pretty easy for him to be solid with no Bama offer on the table.
Maybe I'm just perinoid after some of the late defects last year, and at least from what I have seen and heard about him, he appears to be the real deal.

I haven't seen anything that would make me think an offer is coming from Bama. I just don't think we have any room.

i can understand why bama hasn't offered. what i can't understand is why auburn hasn't.
