Yeah, I saw that, but figured it was a mistake.
ETA: Kid is a good athlete though.

Nice edit, would have been worried if we took this guy over Munchie.
I assume he's at camp.

Munchie hasn't been performing that well at the camps that he's been to...at least not the UT or LSU camps.

Thanks for the info Egg.
Could this be another Martavious Lee situation? We've seen these out of left field commits bear out to be smoke before. Offer list is underwhelming at best.

Although this seems odd I just try to trust the coaches on this stuff - maybe they intend to offer him a gray shirt or something. At least you can bet qualifying isn't going to be a concern.

Dammit Egg...you beat me by 10 minutes.

well, we did beat south alabama for his pledge.
but, being that this is a camp commitment, they've had a chance to evaluate this kid's techniques, abilities, etc., so it's not that bad. From everything that I've read, this kid's heart was set on being a Tiger from the get go.

This seems a little strange to me??? Maybe i just haven't heard too much about him. You think he will pick up an Auburn and/or Bama offer?
Posted on 6/9/09 at 9:15 am to AllEyesOnThree
maybe and no.
not that strange, especially coming from camp.

We stole this guy right from under that prick Bobby Johnson's nose.

Why? B/c you had never heard of him before?
He camped. The coaches evaluated him. They liked him. They offered. He accepted.
What's strange about this?

It seems strange that this guy is in the middle of Alabama yet the only SEC offer he had was from Vanderbilt. Makes you wonder if that many coaches overlooked him...or not.
However, he does have good size (6'2" 200 lbs) and appears to have good speed. He must have a good grasp of the fundamentals because he played QB. Moreover, he was a running QB so he is not afraid to play physical. Our coaches saw him in person, put him through the drills, and apparently liked his athleticism.

Gibson makes Munchie look like Marcus Randall.
*I think he could play QB
I'll take Sam as our dual-threat/athlete over Munchie all day long

Add Zach Lee and that's a wrap on QB IMHO
