Tid bit from SEC recruiting

quote:

quote: Last month Ryan told BamaOnLine he talks to UA every day. “They’re a top-notch program,” Ryan said. “I like the way they do things over there. They’re organized and they’re good every year. I don’t have to worry about them having a bad season or having a slump. They’re always good. I would like to be a part of program like that and hopefully help them win if I decide to go there. It would be amazing to play for one of the best coaches in college football right now."

How many wake up calls with this staff need before they realize what it takes to keep up with the best? Really no excuse for losing Sage.

This years crappy start is why we are losing him and perhaps a few others. And unfortunately too many fans want to give the staff “a pass”.

Incompetence and laziness starts at the top.

The CBs are still in our favor 60-40, with Wiltfong matching Dixon’s 7. Let’s step back from the ledge.

Nah LSU didn't get lazy with his recruiting. This is a byproduct of LSU being an inconsistent program year after year. Where as Bama, Clemson and Ohio St. are consistent year in, year out. I know it hurt guys but it's the truth... Sage's statement is a direct shot at LSU.

It would be amazing to play for one of the best coaches in college football right now. And I like their stadium, their facilities, stuff like that.” - Sage Ryan speaking on Bama

Saban is a helluva con man. Cons the best players to come to Bama then convinces them they’re good because of him. He’s unreal.

People around college football always say it’s harder to sustain excellence than be excellent. I didn’t completely believe that, but this season has changed my mind. What Clemson and Bama have done recently is damn hard to do.

LSU hasn’t won fewer than 8 games since the turn of the century. and has averaged 10 wins in that span.

Alabama hasn't had less than 10 wins in a season since 2007.

I’m not trying to call them inconsistent; just pointing out that we’re one of the most consistent programs in the nation.

Auburn is inconsistent. Notre Dame is inconsistent. Oregon, FSU. Teams that have reached great heights and fallen to below rock bottom in short time spans.

LSU has been to the top and in a standard season has proven its absolute floor to be 8 wins.

Yea when you lose 90% of a team and the best team ever you don’t just reload. Bama does because they have every position consistently year after year. Lsu is getting there.

He must not be close cousins with Faulk if he’s willing to go “Hey cuz, I’m going to your direct rival and do everything in my power to make sure they succeed and you fail so you’ll lose your job. See ya at Christmas.”
