Yes

Can’t transfer within the conference if entering the portal in the spring cycle. He entered after the regime change obviously.

So many felt that was a sign he’d be coming back for 2025 with another SEC team or else he would have just gone elsewhere in the spring.

No, players have 5 days to enter the portal after their last game. We are playing the long game boss.

Makes sense with Raymond but I figured we’d go after more experienced/proven

Another possibility:

ADON SHULER

Redshirt freshman at Notre Dame. 82.8 PPF grade was the highest among all Safeties in the quarterfinals.

Has 3 to play 3

I believe these guys missed their chance to enter the portal.
Maybe in the Spring window

ETA: nevermind, players still in CFP have a 5-day window after their seasons ends. There could be more entries 1/9-1/16 & then 1/20-1/25.

When they were playing, I kept thinking the announcers were saying Don Shula

Taffe made some All American lists I believe

Michael Taaffe - 0 stars in HS and only offered by Colgate and Brown. Smart kid that has great instincts and can tackle. MVP of the State 6A Championship game his Sr. year and 2-time team MVP at Austin Westlake. Walked on at Texas and eventually earned a scholarship. Another example of how some kids slip through the cracks, and develop several years later after buying in and being developed. Similar analogy to Josh WIlliams who was offered by Stetson, CO State Pueblo, Drake, Lafayette College (PA). and chose to walk-on at LSU.

I think it was known Taaffe wanted to walk on at TX. Maybe he would have had better offers. Either way, that kid was a pretty good player at Westlake. I think he picked off Ewers in the state title game.

Judging by his offers, he's a smart guy and wouldn't be surprised if he came from an affluent family. May have gotten an academic scholarship before proving himself and getting one for football.

He wants what he was getting at TAMU and he's not getting it anywhere else. He should've stayed with TAMU. He going to have to take a lower offer if he wants to play somewhere.

Then he has to have 5 star production

The list is basically down to Williams, Mack, Shuler or Downs if Moscona is right about LSU having a silent commit from a Safety in the playoffs

I wonder if it could also be someone who isn't in the playoffs still but is a grad transfer and can transfer still after their normal window closed.

Well I also think a big issue with him sitting out this year was his inability to go to an SEC school.

we definitely need more than these one and done portal transfers, or we are going to be right back where we are now, after next year.
