another day, another Saban threat.

I can't say I remember any Saban recruiting stories when he was here. Maybe I forgot, but it seems the more pressure is on him, the more desperate he gets.

Or more likely, we didn't care b/c he was recruiting FOR us.

With the recruiters Auburn and Tennessee now have it should be an interesting recruiting season for Little Nicky.

did you read the comments?

quote:

I will not hold my breath for your comments on the day when the facts come out about his recruitment and the "tire distributor" who was involved in his recruitment for Ole Miss...there was another recruit from Hargrave that also signed with OM...Hmmm...could said "tire distributor" be from his hometown? I am sure Saban did say those things but I am also sure it did not go exactly as Massie stated...I am sure he told him he knew what was going on illegally with the "millionaire" in MS but then went into his sales job talking about his program. Like I said, we will see who gets the last laugh in this situation. Enough people, including many who are with other schools other than Bama and OM, know what happened here and no, it is not because Massie did not go to Bama but just the facts on why he went to OM...replacing Oher got Massie's attention but tire profits clinched the deal

tires for life? One set wouldn't get me!

Wished they would have ran it before Feb 4th signing day. To remind everyone about him and he couldn't handle adversity in the pros.

It was even worse for Petrino.. Guess it does not matter to recruits...You would think the parents would have more input..

Just a guess, but this is from the perspective of an 18 year old. I have no reason to assume he is being untruthful, but I do queston his interpretation of he comments he heard. My guess is that the "I'm going to turn you in to the NCAA", is the same as, "I'm going to have you kidnapped". It was a joke.I just don't think that's consistant with the recruitment practices of the Nick Saban I am familiar with. I'm not sayhing Massie's lying, but a literal transcripton of the words used does not necessarily convey accurate meaning.

LSUDad- I remember the McDaniel/Manning saga quite well; the funny thing is, we ended up losing both of them to the Aggies.

Remember it well, I was kind in the middle of it. I know a couple coaches that were calling me with info on that whole saga. I had a bunch of info on what went down. If you ever want to know what went on, let me know.

Also, FYI:
Word is out that Texas A&M defensive GA Archie McDaniel has been hired to coach the linebackers at Texas Southern.
