Serious question because I don't remember, who were the final candidates for the job? I know Kelly wasn't named HC until the end of that season, and had to assemble a staff rather quickly to try and save the recruiting class, but I can't remember what other names were thrown around that were actually Serious candidates.

Yeah that's right because white was named DC after house left for the nfl. Freeman obviously would have been best but no way he was passing on the HC gig like you said. Hopefully we have better options when house is gone.

In no way am I defending house, but he had a very, very unlucky year. D-line coach hospitalized and not coaching, starting safety gets a brain tumor, two high rated transfer corners let the team down etc.
