I don't know about this. I'd rather he be a "consultant" for a year or so before moving to RB coach.

In Louisiana, the head football coach has to be a faculty member. It is not uncommon for someone to be the head coach on paper while a non-faculty member is acting as the head coach. This is apparently what is happening at Carencro.

Lhsaa rules state that a CECP coach can not be the head coach for a few sports. Football, basketball, Volleyball. To be head coach, you have to be a faculty member certified to teach and coach. I'm not sure what his degree is in, or if he took the praxis to teach. If not, he can not "officially" be head coach of one of those sports. It is not uncommon for schools to have a non-faculty coach as an assistant, or in this case, to be the "head coach", while officially having another title.

1) it's 2017 and it was a weed arrest how long ago?

2) Aaron Hernandez is in jail....

Presidents have done worse than what you listed.

Faulk sat down with CNN’s Susan Candiotti as part of the network’s special program “Downward Spiral: Inside the Case against Aaron Hernandez.” In the interview, Faulk expressed support for Hernandez, Faulk’s former teammate who is currently in prison facing three separate murder charges.

“I want to tell him that he has somebody that’s on his side that’s praying for him,” Faulk said of Hernandez.

Candiotti then pressed Faulk: “Prosecutors are saying that he orchestrated the execution of someone.”

Faulk replied: “You’re not going to make me believe that he’s a monster because you used those type of words.”

Hernandez and Faulk were teammates for just two years, though Faulk was limited by injury to just two weeks of game action in 2010, Hernandez’s rookie year. Faulk spent his entire 13-year career with the Patriots.

“You get questioned all the time, ‘Do you think your boy did it?'” Faulk said. “No, I don’t want him to have done it, no. So if you want me to say no, [then] no, I don’t think he did it. At the same time, anybody can be pushed to do something drastic like that, if they push you to that point.”

I see him refusing to call out a friend.

"I don't want him to have done it."

“I want to tell him that he has somebody that’s on his side that’s praying for him"

just reading that article makes me not want Faulk and I was a huge fan back in the day

It's cool to say you are praying for him but come on Kevin. Cut it right there.

"At the same time, anybody can be pushed to do something drastic like that, if they push you to that point.”

What does this even mean? Hernandez was pushed by the victim to murder?

Faulk is the offensive coordinator at Carencro, not the head coach.

Yea, that makes him a bad person. It's going to be legal in this state eventually.

Support criminals?

Look you can voice your disapproval it it happens but I don't consider people arrested for misdemeanor weed charges to be criminals...

As for that story on Hernandez....it's 2017 not 2014. Perspectives change.
