Fournette is a good enough athlete that he'd be a beast no matter what position he played. He'd be a great linebacker, but he's a once in a lifetime running back.

Concerned about only a 5 year NFL life.
Legit concern, pretty smart of him to realize that.
Running backs have the shortest average careers of just 2.57 years

Depends on your source, NFLPA says 2.57, but NFL says its higher. All part of those lawsuits.

This is hyperbole to an extent. Once in a lifetime means better than Bo Jackson, Adrian Peterson, Ricky Williams, Jim Brown, Eric Dickerson, etc. Don't get me wrong, the guy is a monster RB, but he could also be a beast LB. It seems like we're counting on him as a RB, though.

He was born to play running back, therefore he will play running back.

My ranking is based on? I'm not trolling if that's what you're getting at. I simply heard jimmy smith mention it, if it turns out to be false great, but if true it gives me a little concern that little bastard in Tuscaloosa is getting in his head.
