Thanks Flask. IMO, my offense is going to be really tough to defend. Starting with Newton he is a dual threat so the defense has to respect his ability to run. Always a problem for any defensive coordinator.

Mack Brown is the best inside/outside runner in this class. He also has sub 4.4 speed and can take it to the house on any run.

Bryant can go long or be my 3rd safety net over the middle. He also has sub 4.4 speed. Johnson isnt a traditional number one but putting him in the slot on an offense that has other weapons probably makes him my most dangerous player. The opposing teams cant double him because of my other weapons and he CANNOT be single covered making him a bigtime YAC guy. Johnson also has sub 4.4 speed.

My line is also very good in that my tackles are both great run blockers/pass blockers that can also get out on screens and pull. Linder makes the whole line great though because he is a great shotgun snapper and can also move after the snap. So far my line are guys who fit together. Athletic bad asses that all show leadership ability. The Oline will be the strenght of my team. I still have 4 positions on offense to fill, but feel confident I can find some hidden gems.

I really like my defense too. Powell is the headliner and who it is built around. Clearly the number one overall player in this class. A great player to start any team with.

My defensive ends may not have the big name but they are both known as the prototypical 3-4 defense end.

Holland and Kitchens have amazing film. IMO they are both underrated because they are not playing for Bama.

Belue is a 4.3 kid and someone who Saban wanted. Enough said. Kent is going to be a hard hitting run stopping strong safety. Hopkins may move to free safety depending on if the corner I have targeted continues to fall.

My team is going to be tough for any of you guys to beat.

I have to admit that the one guy I regret not grabbing early is C.J. Fiedorwicz. He is a mismatch against any defense. I really wanted to use him as an Hback or slot receiver. His blocking sucks so there was no point in lining him up as a tradional tight end. I just didnt think anyone would grab him so early.

This is the guy I really wanted. I think he will excel in the ND offense. He has a good QB throwing him the ball and Kelly knows how to coach a passing game. I can see him being very Golden Tate-esque.

Who's on the roster behind Clausen? I don't even know.

Funny that you say that. I think he's the best guy I have going for me right now, mostly for all the reasons you pointed out.

I love Mike Dyer, but I was ecstatic that this guy was still around, so much so that with only 2-3 guys left in front of me, I sent his name and a backup to Dan.

They signed a pretty highly recruited kid out of Cincinatti named Andrew Hendrix.

Notre Dame has a former elite recruit who is going to be a redshirt sophmore. I cant remember his name. He was very impressive in the Army All Star Game. Hendrix wont see the field for at least 3 years, if ever.

I agree with that. I just can't see listing a 6'7" guy as a WR. I also can't imagine a 240 lb WR. I think he may line up as a TE just because he will be a terror over the middle of the field. However, with 4.55 speed, he won't have problems getting where he needs to be.

I thought there was someone else, but I couldn't find him on the ND depth chart.

That's who I was thinking of as well. Rivals is just retarded and doesn't have him on the 3 deep roster. He's definitely second string.

Earlier in this thread we had a discussion about the importance of a tight end. I am not going to call C.J. Fiedorwicz the traditional tight end, but he brings enough that you can build your passing game around him. Then add Dyer and Jones to the mix and look out.

I just dont like Bell though. More of a personal preference in that I believe in putting as much pressure as possible on the defense by making them defend a dual threat qb. Bell is clearly not a dual threat and will be a sitting duck with Powell and Kitchens coming off the edge.

Send them around the edge all you want. I'll have Mike Dyer over the big nasty right side of my line all day long.

I do like Cam Newton a lot, but I wanted to go with a pro style QB because a lot of dual threat QB's are busts in college. To be honest, you got the only really impressive QB in this class, but with the downsides of being a JUCO felon. If he can walk the line, he'll make himself a lot of money in his 2 years at AU.

My D wont shut you down, but I have enough play makers to force some turnovers. Your problem is stopping my offense. Aint gonna happen.

I really like my QB. I probably could have waited on him even up to this point, but he is someone that I really see a lot of upside in.

Pretty much exactly how I felt taking Hendrix. I looked at Rettig as well.

I like that this thread turned into trash talk each other's teams.

QB
RB – Lache Seastrunk (Oregon)
FB
WR – Trovon Reed (Auburn)
WR – De’on Long (West Virginia)
TE – Alex Welch (Notre Dame)
OT – Jawuan James (Tennessee)
OG – Quinton Spain (West Virginia)
C
OG
OT – Darryl Williams (Oklahoma)

DE – Christian Jones (Florida State)
DT
DT – Ashton Dorsey (Texas)

LB – Josh Shirley (UCLA)
LB – Scott McVey (Ohio State)
LB
CB – Mylan Hicks (Michigan State)
CB
FS – Greg Dent (Florida State)
SS – Josh Furman (Michigan)

I like my D's chances of shutting down anyone's offense. Everyone on the field is quick and I have a thumper at MLB. My only concern is finding another CB at this point, but my safeties should be able to help over the top if needed. I've ignored the Offense a little, but I really like my offensive line so far.

Does anyone else feel like they are looking for gems and scraping the bottom of the barrel at this point?
