SO who did you plan on snapping to Wing during the pring? Our OL sucks at long snapping btw

what games are being played in the spring again?

It makes it that much more difficult to work with the kickers and punters when you don't have any long snappers

anyone can long snap, since there are no games, its not that important that he be "good".

And I for one would rather have a LS starter for the season than a 3rd string OL scout player.

I'm hoping the means your whole comment is sarcasm

What does the accuracy of my statement have to do with the number of post I have made?

You really don't know what all goes into special team do you. How do you expect on a punter getting his get off time down if he doesn't have a snapper that can even get good snap. He can't. You are showing your ignoring on punting, kicking, and ls. I'm not worried about games in the spring. I am worried about our kickers, punter, and holder having a timing with our long snapper. And so that our coach will have time to get a kid straight out of high school ready to start in the Sec taking on nose guards and defensive ends. He needs to get bigger and stronger this spring. And so that we can again work on the technique of the punter and kicker with their get off times most importantly.

No, I am not ignoring ST, you are engaging in zero sum thinking. There is no fricking way it takes all spring to get timing down on long snaps, sorry. They have all summer to work on that. You are making it sound like finding a long snapper is just as hard and just as important as finding a franchise QB in the NFL.

dude, i really hope you guys are fricking with me

If you really think this is some make or break issue, that not working with the top long snapper for 15 or whatever # of practices there are in the spring you are kidding yourself. Again, name me all the instances you can recall of a long snapper affecting the game (I can only think of 1)? Name all the long snaps you can think that messed up the punter or kickeers timing and he failed. That's what I mean by zero sum thinking. You are making sound like with out this guy, the kickers and punts will be screwed, which is comical. Ever hear of an NFL team drafting a long snapper? Point to me all the LS that signed D1 scholarships?

And again I'M NOT SAYING THEY SHOULD NOT GIVE THE KID A SCHOLARSHIP, but frick, if giving him the scholarship as an EE costs you an OL it was a mistake. All the timing and strenght issues you mentioned aplly to the OL. You also have more possibilty for injuries on the OL, so you need depth. A bad OL can really cost a team for a whole game, a bad LS at worst might flub 1 or 2 snaps in a season.

OL is more important than a LS.

How many times do I have to tell you?

Everyone god damn person in the know has said its Texas-LSU.

If A&M was in it why didn't he show up for you junior day?

His family doesn't like Sumlin. Another family member walked on at Houston and they did not like Sumlin's treatment of the kid.

You aggies are so stubborn.

Recruiting Wishlist: 1. J.T Barrett 2. Justin Manning 3. Desean Smith 4. Ishmael Wilson 5. Tim Williams

Good luck, Tigers. I've enjoyed this battle over RS-J
