I had to work this morning and was listening to Richard on 1150 am. I know alot of people here don't like him but I like him...now and then...anyway he was saying that Tim Williams is a head case...says he was caught smoking at school(suspened for two games this season},has one kid and another on the way...says U HIGH boosters got Tim from Glen Oaks ....he also said that Les's son plays with him and was glad when he signed with Bama...also that Catholic High would never put up with a kid like this and U High has turned into a "win at all cost school"....Richard was on a roll this morning

Well the smoking stuff is not new news and he will fit in well with Bamas program of not caring about weed.

Not sour grapes, nor am I saying they are the same style of player, but I think we are better off with Kendell Beckwith.

I hate to hear that radio personalities are speaking about High Schooler's personalities and off-the-field life....the athletes are amatuers for God's sake....but if Condon doesn't speak about it, twitter or FB will.

We all need to drop it and move on, imo. Not worth discussing anymore.

I have a friend who played for U-High and said the same thing--that he's a headcase and basically an "all me" type player

That must be why his teammates voted him as one of their captains.

And you find this entertaining? It's funny? Catholic is not a win at all cost school? Well go and count the number of black kids they took from the 2010 South Baton Rouge Jaguars little league team and get back with me...

I'm not saying Williams did not have some off-the-field baggage. I'm not saying he might not be a better fit at Bama.

However, a lot of the talk "We didn't want him" is sour grapes.... a lot of it.

Some of that stuff is personal and Condon shouldn't be talking about a kid like that. Catholic took in a large group of public school kids (the majority of which just happened to play football) not that long ago and ended up having to get rid of some of them. A lot of private/select schools have their own ways of boosting the football program. I saw U-High's middle school team a few years ago in a scrimmage and they had no talent on the field. The U-High middle school coach pulled them from the field mid-scrimmage cause he feared for his players safety.

For the record, would y'all consider Conden an lsu homer?

sour grapes, STFO, he’s a kid like the rest.

We need a QB, that’s it, plain and simple

Well said. They took in a much larger group of public school kids than they normally do. It was obvious they wanted to get better. Some of those kids had discipline issues from the start. They knew what they were doing. Don't pick on U-High or any one school when a bunch of schools do the same thing. I hope they go select and non-select championships.

yeah beckwith came up to farmerville and he played olb and he was a strong and fast as advertised. Sometime kids are just big amd faster than other kids. One thing about coach spat is that his kids don't get pushed around but beckwith was slinging kids around like a man. Then in the 2nd half they moved him to mlb and he had maybe 8 to 10 tackles in da 2nd half alone. Then he sealed the deal wit a 65 yard cutback across the field run and outran everybody...... He earned my respect and I didn't want him to commit to bama.

Just go back and read posts about Tim Williams not even 6 months ago.

He was Jason Pierre-Paul with a heart of gold.

Kinda funny also how most of the negativity was toward Beckwith because rumors were flying about his love for Bama. Lots of "don't need him...TW is the one that matters" posts.
