This hurts a lot for y'all. Having a few bad seasons in a row plus losing a dominant instate big man hurts the program a lot perception wise as well as just talent wise. It's tough pulling in talent when you can't keep the best player instate.

There is an excuse - and it is called TJ and Alleva.

So will LSU put the full court press on Pollard?

Short of paying Pollard lots of money, LSU has 0.0000001% chance of landing him. He'll go to MSU or UK, with MSU being the most likely destination.

Stansbury has him locked up.

TJ just needs to focus on winning this year. Even if we don't sign anyone and save all of our scholarships for the following recruiting class, our only seniors will be Chris Bass, Malcolm White, and Storm Warren.
We'll still have a strong roster. We just need to win so the Craig Victor's give us a serious look in the future.

Have you looked at your roster in respect to the rosters of the rest of the SEC? Winning will be very difficult for LSU

State, Arkansas, and Bama's rosters are in a different class than LSU's right now. It could be an ugly year again thanks to T.J's lackluster recruiting.

I still wish the talent level in Louisiana HS basketball was deeper than this. We may have had 2 or so D-1 level players this year, but there have been more than that in one recruiting class multiple years at a time.
This sucks either way though.

He deserves another extention given his recruiting prowless.

No way to spin this. This is bad.

Not according to Alleva. The program is in fantastic shape and making great progress. Give them all raises and keep raising TAF fees, ticket, parking and concession costs.
What the people in charge do not realize yet is the time is coming when the fans are going to say enough is enough. Life priority is no longer to spend hundreds to go to a game.

Jeez, that kind of energy bowling in the hallway? Needs to put that into his recruiting trips. This year will tell us something. I won't pack it up just because of one recruit (albeit one very good recruit)

Yeah, we don't need him.
Trent doesn't need those one and done players.
