Too me the Dad might want to consider that the coaches aren't completely sure who exactly Benton and Randle will exactly be competing against...How can they without seeing both on campus and in practice. It would make the most sense for the 2 to compete for the same open slot as Freshmen and each get some opportunities there. Then if they are as good as advertised, 1 will slide over to Lafell's slot the next year. This makes the most sense in the entire scheme of things. Has this thought even crossed anyones mind? Much less the dad's?

Yes, just replayed it. This guy sounds like he's searching for an excuse. He said Randle's not scared of competition, but he was told he'd compete against Toliver, not Benton. WEAK.

His dad sounds like someone who is worried about more than just Benton. I'm wondering if he's starting to realize that RS may play some at wideout as well and would likely get more touches.

If he doesn't want to compete then go to Bama or OU. If it truly is a way to placate the LSU masses for choosing another school, it is pretty weak. Just come out and say the other school is the best fit for you and be done with it. I would start preparing myself now for another McKnight tommorrow. I hope he chooses LSU but as other have said we will be fine and prosper no matter what.
