It legit is, it’s happening to every team in the country right now. Scoring has gotten out of control a bit. We are now not truly differentiating good from great routines at times

In one of the interviews Jay gave from this season, it sounded like they played around with Haleigh's new dismount a bit last season, but it was mostly Haleigh who worked on it a lot off-season. So I'm not sure that here Jay gets most of the credit - sounds like Haleigh is just a super motivated athlete.

So assuming Bridget is back tonight I’m taking bets on who we think is on beam. Upvote for Sami and downvote for Elena.

I think it’s definitely the ga link and her mom. Although sierra is his niece and he doesn’t seem as loyal to her as he does to Sami, when it comes to gym obv.

At least Tori is listed as an alternate. Hope we can get her 1.5 in the lineup before the postseason!

I've said it before but he doesnt want to hurt feelings. Im sorry I know she's a super senior and supposed to be a leader on the team, but she's hurting the team by being in the rotation. You cant keep her in there by default. It's clear to pretty much everybody, except for him, that she doesn't need to be on beam.
Im a Pelicans basketball fan. They brought in a free agent point guard and he was a starter for half the year. It became clear that he didnt need to start and there was a better lineup out there, he was best suited for the bench. The head coach sat him down and told him he was taking him out of the starting lineup and he accepted the role and wants to do what's best for the team.
Jay has to do this. If not, its going to hurt the team. I think next year or the year after is our year. This team is great but I think it would be a stretch to win a championship this year. But you're going to end up not even competing for one, much less win one, if he's afraid to make adjustments.

Crap I totally forgot about vault. Don’t get me wrong, I love Sami on bars, but that’s it. Just because she’s a so called gym junkie doesn’t mean she needs to be in everything. And for anyone thinking I am continually on Sami, it’s nothing personal. I think her bars are beautiful and she’s adequate on vault and beam but we have much better options. Especially with edwards not really getting the vaults she needs to. With the lineups we have now I feel we may not make it out of regionals much less to nationals.

Man I’ve never seen this thread so down. Let’s see what happens tonight. Maybe Jay sees something we don’t……..I dont know. But I do agree with the sentiment.

I by no means think we are bad. I do think there are 5 or 6 teams that really good this year and it could really go to any of them. The big difference I think is going to be vault though. I think Michigan proved that to all the other teams last year.

I agree about the Florida auburn scores as Spencer said on his blog these scores are Drugs
On another note - I’m starting to get concerned with our vault line up. We only have 3 definite 10.0 starts - one of which is very inconsistent. Just wondering if anyone is aware if we are getting anymore? Hoping that Alyona is health for post season on vault but she is also inconsistent, definetly the event that makes me most Nervous just because so Many teams have 5 10.0 vaults or more. Kj definetly should be out 9.95 but what is going to be our other 10.0’s what happened to kamryn’s 10. Where is Maddie rau - thought she may have really come along on her vault with having a few years under her belt. Even chase Brock? Preferred her vault to samis last year…
