I know! I was really hoping they would give Ryan another shot at doing the 1.5 in competition. It looked great last year!

CGN has an interesting report card for NCAA Teams.

Not sure if she is up to it, but does Aleah have a 1.5 on vault?

She is training a 1.5 but they are working on consistency right now. Thats probably a vault we see next year, not sure about this season but you never know.

Will the score LSU receives on Sunday be counted twice whether it is wins or losses with Arky and Missou for the RQS?

If they win, they’ll get two wins but it still only counts as one road score for NQS.

It looks like we still have 2 or 3 YF vaults scheduled on Friday night. Elena is listed on bars and Kai on beam.

Yeah and Dunne is on floor. This week will definitely test the depth. Like what good is depth if you never use it. Guess we’ll see.

I think Dunne's advantage is she has very nice lines and can be very clean. Eg she hits her splits perfectly, can do all her acro with straight legs, and can tumble on floor with pointed toes and knees together. So she should have very few built in deductions. I had really hoped to see her on UB, BB and FX.

It looks like Dunne is going to be a junior before JC decides to place her in more events. Hard to figure why...

His allegiance to the super seniors is a big reason I think.

Speaking of which, is Sami in the beam lineup? This would be an excellent time to explore depth there…

Dunne honestly has nice gymnastics, she just needs a new dismount on bars. Its been a bit surprising to me she hasn't been able to break the beam lineup. That was one event I kept banking on her to make an impact on ever since coming to college but it hasn't happened yet.

Kind of hard to judge her floor since she has only competed once and has dealt with a lot of ankle issues the last two years (which has directly impacted training time). Hopefully she does well tonight.

My thoughts from tonight:

So he listened - changing aleah’s beam dismount and doing two passes for haleigh! She was shaky on them tonight but it’s going to be huge dividends for us I think going forward.

This team is beginning to shape up well. That was the best beam rotation was have had in three years, abs I fully believe it was because we had super solid sets in 1-3 - I don’t know that kiya has ever anchored beam where she wasn’t working at least against dropping a 9.7 - I think this was an excellent step forward!

I think we were probably a bit overscored (aleah on floor, probably haleigh on floor - and Edwards on vault), but it was a great meet and Dunne really impressed me with her floor routine. I am of a mind to say she should maybe replace Alyona who can sometimes look chaotic.

The only thing I’ll say is in the end 3 10.0 vaults aren’t going to cut it. Ideally you have alyona back and maybe find another 1.5 or let KJ try the double!

Finally, yikes Elena’s pak. We should go back to the drawing board there - I wonder who the second alternate is and if they will get a chance on Sunday.

Besides this being a good meet for us, the exposure we just got from it being on ESPN is huge.

Aleah was the alternate on bars. I would love to see her get the opportunity to be in the bar lineup.

Did anyone see Suni's new vault? She got a 9.925. I was not impressed with the look of this vault. The front layout part has huge leg separation but may improve with time.

I didn’t care for it & don’t think it deserves a 9.925
