He handled that well and maybe Jeffrey should comment at this point and kinda tie a bow on it on our end. UCLA's statement doesn't seem to have done much for them though.

Apparently, Jay and ACK hit it out of the ballpark with the due diligence they showed in handling the AJ/UCLA debacle. Social media are raving that finally someone is being transparent about what happened and the rationale that went behind the decisions made. Several don't agree with the accepting of Alexis' transfer, but seems reassured that the allegations weren't just brushed under the rug as a way to get an elite athlete. Checks and balances took place before the formal transfer acceptance. UCLA and their Coach are getting raked over the coals that Jay and LSU handled things better

I think Jay probably knows who started some of the rumors so I’ll be interested to see if AJ travels to auburn or how we will be accepted at auburn next weekend. I think we handled it very well and our girls are showing such grace!

It’s an even year so we’re hosting auburn this season. I remember that because back in 2018, when our 5th year seniors were freshman, that team beat auburn at home with back to back tens on floor to close out the meet from Sarah Finnegan and Myia Hambrick to crown them as SEC Regular Season champs for the second undefeated year in a row.

Ahh… so AJ will definitely be there. Interesting. And thanks for the heads up!

Woo that fb page has jays interview on there and the comments are a total shite show! It’s kind of entertaining if not maddening.

It was entertaining at first, but it became too maddening for me. I had to unfollow both fb groups.

My favorite part is this one woman saying ACK stamped approved the transfer just to win a natty. These people don’t know her at all

That’s the sunday after the Bama meet at home. I’m PRAYING that we beat the f****** crap outta them this season. PLEASEEEEEE

Very impressed by Jay's statement and how he described the handling of the situation. Looks like there is more to the story than what was going around. Jay tried to uncover it, involved the relevant people including the entire team, and everyone is happy with the decision. They're the ones who have to work with AJ, so if they're good with it, then that seems to be the most important. Jay has addressed the situation very openly and honestly from what I can see, bearing in mind the need for privacy, whereas I have not seen anything of any substantive content officially from UCLA. Thumbs up from me.

An explosive Spotify podcast with Margzetta Frazier and Sekai Wright regarding the transfer situation. Keep in mind that this is just one side of the story, but...
The current most well-known UCLA gymnast is publically calling for the firing of the head coach Chris Waller. This looks really bad for UCLA. How could they mishandle this situation this badly? The info on their end just keeps getting worse and worse.
I'm just worried that Lexi's addition to the team could possibly offend or hurt the POC gymnasts on our team; however, it seems that Jay consulted with all of the appropriate parties that are needed to make these kinds of decisions. So, I trust in his decision to allow her to come into the team.

So it sounds like LSU spoke with AJ’s allies on the UCLA team, not the girls making the complaint. If AJ accused some teammates of bullying, and that story was backed up by her allies, and yet was not true, then that’s a big deal. At this point, I think it was a mistake to accept her. There’s not much good that can come out of this mess for LSU. I can only see negative. The two girls on the podcast were very well-spoken and I believed their story.
Just curious.....to the people downvoting, is it because you believe AJ’s version of the story? If she lied about what happened, would that matter? Not being argumentative, just wondering other peoples’ takes on the situation. I still have mixed feelings, not sure what the truth is, but mostly just worried about the effect on our program.

If it were up to me I probably wouldnt want to deal with any of it mostly because I dont think we need the potential drama given the team dynamic nor does her gymnastics make or break the team.
That said, there is clearly a lot going on behind the scenes at UCLA other than Jeffrey and its apparently something pretty toxic per many of the statements by their gymnasts.
Jeffrey clearly acted inappropriately (regardless of context) and it was hurtful to her teammates. It goes beyond a race issue, it should be common courtesy to be mindful of how you act and what you say to others around you. Thats part of being a good person. If ACK and the POC athletes (after all the info gathering) are wanting to bring her in and think she is willing to work hard to be better as a person, I will side with them. ACK especially, IMO would not okay this if she didn't think this was something she could work through. One thing was very clear from Jay in that press conference, if Jeffrey did anything that threatened the team dynamic, it will end there and now, no second chances. She will not be on scholarship, she will have to work to show she learned her lesson. Hopefully it ends up working out, for everyones sake.

Don’t believe everything you read. It is far from clear that she acted inappropriately.

You are correct and that is why I will side with the the coaches, ACK and everyone involved in this. Clearly they know more than the people running around twitter, etc.
UCLA from the outskirts, seems like a very divided team internally.

Separately from the issue with AJ, UCLA sounds like it is about to self destruct

I don't feel for them. They did it to thereselves.

Those downvoting are those that believe there should be two sets of standards and if you don’t agree with that you are a racist…
