Unfortunately, I don't think Gunter is the answer. I hope she gets a chance to compete at least once this year - but I think whoever said consistency is probably right (see her competition routines last year). Bridget's Week 2 was at least an improvement over Week 1 - but, not the strongest event for her. What is impressive is that she is the highest ranked beamer on the team right now (tied with Haleigh, but I'll give it to Bridget since she's done more routines). I am loving the consistency she is giving us there and her leaps seem better to me this year.

I read the article in the advocate today and I hope Kiya does well this weekend. I know the pressure has to be crazy and she is so great!

Bridget significantly improved her leap series on beam. She is now hitting the full split on the back part of the leap (something she had issues with before). Plus Gnat took out those extra split jumps and added in a beat jumps.

I feel LSU has many routines currently that will probably be upgraded down the line but they are working those routines in instead of throwing them right out there right now. Kamryn Ryan, they are hoping to have her 1.5 in the lineup for post season. Not sure why Elena isn't competing on bars right now, as its her best event but I think at some point she gets in. There is no way Dean will in the floor lineup come post season, I just think she is filling in and giving other athletes time to come along before they break the lineup.

It seems a little bit mental right now but due to the achilles tenderness she is doing way less reps on beam in the gym. I will continue to say this every week, remove the front toss!!! There is absolutely no reason to be upgrading her beam when she has a crazy hard leap series as it is. If she continues to struggle, I say take her out the beam lineup until things improve with her body, we have a lot of depth on beam. Her big vault and floor are honestly more important down the road than that individual beam set.

Pre meet notes have Desiderio in on beam and floor. No Dunne or Arenas on floor or beam. Guessing these might not be accurate?

Appears to be, Desiderio has been practicing but I guess it depends on warmups. She can do beam but floor seems like a stretch. They are planning on putting a lot of seniors on beam and floor tomorrow. No Arenas in bars or floor lineup still but alternates as of now. Jay seems to want heavy senior lineups again.

Weird that Ryan isn’t an alternate listed.

All I will say is by next week, the regular season will be half way over. If LSU intends on getting other kids in they will have to do it very soon... can’t wait one or two weeks before SECs and expect the other ones to take over. If anyone needs the experience it’s the freshmen and sophomores. We know what we are getting from the seniors. I’m still not understanding the Dean on floor but that’s just me

Those pre meet lineups are identical to last Friday’s meet. I don’t expect Desiderio to do floor. I think somebody didn’t update the package.

Go to LSU Gym's schedule, attached is premeet notes. It gives you the probable lineups and the alternates further down on the notes.

Pre-meet notes 3 Georgia

Hopefully we’ll at least get some exhibition routines from them! Maybe that’s the plan.

I have never seen these pre-meet notes before - they are interesting, but there are several typos (on spelling of skills and even one instance of misspelling Johnson) LOL.

One typo that really stands out is saying our season high score is a 196.275. Lol

Interesting all these teams who competed at their 2nd meet looked like disasters compared to their first meet.

Michigan and Minnesota both were in the 195's just a bit ago. The last part of the meet was a nightmare for both.

I just saw a gymnast from Missouri complete a gorgeous beam routine with one little balance check. On a front toss. That was absolutely not needed for her start value. Without that, she was looking at a 9.9 instead of a 9.8. Why in the world is Kiya doing a front toss?!?! You don’t need it and don’t even need to replace it with something else. Literally, it can only hurt you.

No idea. We lightened her beam up last year for a reason. Can she hit the front toss? Sure but it makes no sense to upgrade the routine at all when she is already doing that difficult leap series and has a double as her dismount. On top of it all, she has achilles tenderness.... I don't get it.

Some very mediocre vaults going 9.875

I'm sure the twitter Wieber fans will look the other way
