I feel the same way! Routine construction is so important and they don’t seem to be understanding that this season. I so agree with Reagan and the two pass routine. Her dance and jumps are gorgeous and she could score well without that third pass which is inconsistent.

If Rachel transferred within the SEC would she have to wait to be able to compete? Or is that rule gone?
I can’t understand why she’d want to leave...unless she wants to go to a particular school for a masters program or if there’s something seriously wrong with the morale/training methods at UGA

My guess is she would be a graduate transfer, so the one-year rule would not apply.

The Facebook College Gym page is saying that Rachel asked to walk-on next year at Georgia, and CKC said no.
I'm hoping there's an extra piece of the puzzle we're missing, but wow, I cannot understand knocking back an athlete of Rachel's calibre and with her leadership skills. Particularly as Georgia said so much about how she was a great leader with a great attitude when she first had her injury. LSU rehabbed McKenna so well, surely Rachel knows that and will be considering us.

Suzanne is all over that thread. It makes absolutely no sense for CKC to say no to her walking on. There is more to this. I am assuming scholarship related, she was a senior this year. They probably have already committed scholarships to other kids prior to her injury.
If CKC said no and let her ego get in the way, she is a moron.

Suzanne was flat out lying in that thread. In actuality she went to CKC and lit into her and told her what a mistake she had made with Dickson. She told her that now Dickson is going to transfer and talk about what has gone on with CKC as coach and it will affect their recruiting. Things are not going so well at UGA. Tons of drama.

Georgia coaching circles has been a train wreck ever since Suzanne retired. Too much pull and influence from boosters and Suzanne.

I’m friend with someone who is very close to the entire UGA group. They have been to Suzanne’s home multiple times. He often sends me info and just asks that I not reveal who he is.

One story he shared today is that a little while back, eight of the girls were caught drunk. Eight!! So CKC’s decision was to make the girls sign a contract stating they would not go downtown anymore. I assume that’s where they went to a bar or something. This is one area where Rachel and CKC butted heads. Rachel wouldn’t sign it citing she is 21 and she wasn’t in town that night.
For the record, the reason Dickson is leaving is because CKC told her they didn’t have a scholarship for her (UGA is infamous for forcing athletes to medically retire so they could have easily found one). Dickson offered to WALK ON! CKC said no. Suzanne was pissed and rightfully so. It is playing out exactly as Suzanne feared.

I really like Dickson. She’s a great AA. However, with the injuries to Desiderio, Ryan, Smith, Rivers, Johnson, Edwards, Gunter, and Alyona this year, I think LSU just needs to get healthy over the summer. Adding another injured gymnast (although a mighty good one) is risky.

I actually thought most gym squads agreed amongst themselves or it was enforced that there was no drinking during season. Must not be this way at Ga! Lol on a side not I hope our girls don’t drink during season. It just seems like a recipe for disaster trying to tumble when hungover.

LSU’s most recent grad transfer worked out pretty well, so I’d say go get her!
