KJ looked great as well. Maybe rushed her leap a bit after the side aerial but otherwise solid. The beam team can score huge if they can mentally handle the pressure.

9 routines and not one fall or even really a balance check. Great start.

Elena always looks whippy to me. Her and sierra would be last resorts.

Loved KJ's routine. She rushed her leaps but for her first time out she looked great. Some of these routines, especially her and Bryce will get better with experience.

Not gonna lie, I love and hate her opening mount. Its jaw dropping but I'm a nervous wreck seeing her bend that way and I get overly anxious something could go wrong

Don't forget we still have Dunne on beam as an option also but they are bringing her back pretty slow

Side note, Little surprised with no Jeffrey. Beam was solid for her I thought.

So if Jay will pick the right girls for the right apparatuses and upgrade those vaults (Bryce,kj) we are definitely contenders!

They look really good.

Biggest thing they will have to do is continue to develop and polish the bars lineup. Outside of that LSU looks very very strong and they have some depth to work with.

Why is Bryant still dismounting with a front double full?! WHY?!

I would prefer to see her upgrade to the double front half out mount and then change the dismount. That dismount has failed her multiple times when it matters.

Glad she kept the same routine she was training last year. Nice and engaging music and it already looks more polished!

Like I said earlier, LSU looks incredibly strong on vault, beam and floor.

Gotta figure out a way to iron out the issues on bars. I think your 3 best routines as of now are Kiya, Jeffery and Bryant. Aleah's is nice as well, just depends on how the dismount goes. I think Aleah really is the X factor here if we want another "big" score on bars.

What are your thoughts on the floor music?

I personally didn't pay super close attention but some I liked, some I need some more warming up to. But I'm like that every single year. There were routines that I didn't like that I eventually loved.

Liked Aleah’s floor music way better this year! She is going to be a star just like her sister was!

I agree. The type of music has changed over the years in College Gymnastics. It often takes time to warm up to some of the music choices. It is up to the gymnast to sell the routine by showcasing the choreography with strong tumbling passes and stuck landings.

Haleigh knows herself, her fitness level and her gymnastics better than any of the rest of us. Considering she’s now a junior and the healthiest she’s ever been during pre-season, if she and the coaches have agreed on having that be her third pass on floor, as of now, we should just trust that they know what they’re doing/talking about until it proves to be inconsistent THIS YEAR, not based on how she looked 2 years ago.
