Foster Moreau

Look for him to commit in the next day or week

This is my question... if he does choose to, how could we even think to accept it at this point?

Why are you so confident in him? Is he not high on Mississippi State anymore?

They don't have a defensive coordinator right now.

My attempt at ranking that list, a combo of who I would take and who I know the staff plans on taking.

1. Daylon Mack
2. Tyron Johnson
3. Donte Jackson
4. Leo Lewis
5. Roquan Smith
6. Kyle Phillips
7. Justin Martin
8. Derrick Dillon
9. Daylon Charlot
10. Jamal Peters

BASED is the only one even close to not being drug induced. LOL. You people are high. Bet we get no higher than 60% of any list other than BASED.

The question was who gets left off, guys like Moreau aren't getting in if other guys want in.

I think he ends up in the class, but that's not what the OP was asking.

Because we may not fill all 25 spots. Moreau and Dillon will commit sooner rather than later IMO.

This offer to Moreau has baffled me.
n
It seems like there are plenty of players still being pursued that the Tigers are in good shape for. Also, I don't think they need a tight end.

I would hope three of the spots left would go to two LB and one OL, or even two OL and one LB at least.

Also, what about the place-kicker from Catholic High in Baton Rouge? Will he count on the 85 total scholarship spots? Shouldn't have to use one of the 25 class of 2015 spots for him, I would think.

There are revised recruiting rules which allow them to sign over the limit if there are unused spots in the prior class. May be able to utilize it this year.

If there are some big names who want to come and we can use the new rules to oversign, Im game.

But like others have said, I don't see the point in taking someone like Moreau (just not a need position at all) and taking up a spot. Next year will be huge for us so we'll need all the spots we can get next year, because Ive seen Devin White play...and if that guy is the 11th best player in the state then we're stacked out of our minds in 2016

Just throwing this out--no one has said it will happen, but.... is there any chance that Moreau would accept a greyshirt offer and would LSU really think he is worth doing that for, with such a talented in state group in 2016, and spots in that class possibly being at a premium.

I Personally do not think they should accept any TE commitment until near signing day. We may only get 60-70% of that group I listed, but it blows my mind how we could waste a spot at this time when so many guys of need are legitimate options.
Yea yea I'm not the coach but it doesn't take a coach to notice the lack of needing another TE. I think you make Moreau wait, if he doesn't want to, let him go to Air Force or LA Tech.. Worst case.. That would leave an extra spot for next year if some bigger guys choose elsewhere.
Duckie, what u think?

Nothing against Moreau, but I don't understand the offer other than Les isn't comfortable unless LSU has 10 TEs.
