Becuase the LSU RB is open to all, can we refrain from using the term "lock" until a recruit commits??

So Garrett and Adams weren't locks?

choosing the wrong answer 50% of the time gives u an F in school

Correct

The only locks are ed Paris and Brandon harris

But what if he's wearing the right color socks?

I certainly never thought of Adams as even a "near lock". Garrett was a "near" lock. Fournette was a "near" lock.
I'm too old and seen too many flips to say "lock" - ever.
The closest to a "lock" are guys like Brandon Harris and Ed Paris who both commit early, then recruit like the devil - still not a "lock" because things happen at the last minute way too often.

This board should not be open to all,not exactly sure why it is.

We may have to take this issue to the help board. This year has been particularly bad. I tend to passively follow recruiting from February to about August - I try to get caught up by October and speak reasonably intelligently on the issue (with mixed success). However, the influx of "low information" recruitniks would be okay if they just enaged their brains before typing.

I think the term needs to be eliminated all together, because no one really knows shite at the end of the day.
I think "lean" is fine but there are no locks. Apparently these kids can be all LSU but speak to God or their brothers and change course at a moment's notice.

Now, tell me again the difference between being informed versus uninformed, seems the two resemble each other.

Completely agree, Goo.
Though the term has its purpose and isn't literal, have no doubt that it is possible to be insulted by being called a "Lock". Perhaps it should be used carefully.
