I thought Troy Giddens would be a headhunting safety for us. He made sideline to sideline plays all over his highlight tape.
On a somewhat related note, my favorite Rivals bust of all time has to be Jeff Schweiger Jr., who signed with USC in 2004.

Most have said what I would have already. One that wasn't a bust but didn't play to my very lofty expectations was Craig Loston. His HS film was amazing. Thought he'd be a future first round pick. Hopefully he can pick up his play some more

Played against Patrick Fisher in HS. He was a mean TE as well, but then again DeMatha and Gonzaga were the only schools in the WCAC to recruit DC proper. The level of competition was not as deep as the Northern Va public schools.
Speaking of misses and Gonzaga. Doug Dutch lit the league up and went to Mich as a 4 star WR. He rode the bench and I think they ended up converting him to CB before it was all over.

I thought the same.
Based on high school film I thought we were getting Laron Landry back.
He played ok but no where near the level I expected.
