How many recruits do we currently have committed or likely/probable to commit that would be starters, if not at the beginning of the season, by October?

Off of the top of my head and assuming early departures, would be permissible to assume:

(1) Fournette
(2) Dupre
(3) Speedy/Quinn
(4) Garrett
(5) Willis
(6) Hootie
(7) Adoree or Paris at either corner or nickel?

What say you?

Probably just Fournette

possibly one of the receivers

and maybe Paris/Hootie by mid season

Fournette is the only guarantee IMO.

The CBs will have a lot of work cut out for them if they think they will pass white and RR.

The WRs will also have to work hard, our back up WRs arent scrubs by any stretch of the imagination.

I cant even comment on the LB position as Im clueless as to what happened to the 2012 haul.

Same with DT, im amazed we didnt see Herron or Gilmore crack the 2 deep with the talent that has been on the field. Nickle will be battled out in the spring/summer. SHould be some serious competition between all of the DB spots. I like it.

Garrett has to seriously push for MLB spot at some point. There just isn't enough talent in front of him to keep him on the sidelines.

I mean...if Welter is still starting at MLB, I just don't see them letting Garrett start next year either

Start? Fournette.

Make their presence felt? A bunch.

While young, they seem to lack speed from my observations...

I disagree...our receivers outside of OBJ and JL are pretty much non-existent and present no threat.

I have mentioned before that I am told (take it for what it is worth) that neither Bain or Gilmore will ever be more than just role players. They just aren't that good. I hope my source is wrong.

Adrian Peterson did not start for OU until after the RR Shootout, though he was clearly the best RB on the team well before October. I suppose you may be correct here.

White and RR?

or the safeties? Because yeah, our safeties are slow as shite, but White and RR have plenty of speed.

They haven't seen the field...

Let's hope your "source" is wrong as well.

Agree, he'll get carries, but idk about getting labeled the starter from day one.

I havent seen this at all. Its hard to cover guys when there is no pressure on the Q and they have 7 seconds to run routes.

Non-existant because OBJ and Jarvis have been killing it all year. There is plenty of talent waiting. But if these guys can pass them up then i'm all for it. The main thing holding them back is learning the playbook and adjusting to college life.

I would not count Brandon Harris out. He's already signed his aid agreement & will be an EE yet, CLM & CC flew up to visit immediately after the Bama game. To me, that sorta underlines the importance they put on his commitment for 2014 feeling he can compete for the position.

Donte Moncrief wore White around like a cheap shirt because White lacked the speed to keep up.

Serious question.

Have we ever had a freshman start on offense or defense from day 1?
