Jennings touched the field only because they wanted to keep redshirt on McMillan and Etling couldn't play this year. It's fairly realistic that Haskins can be 2nd on depth chart. I guess they feel Harris has a chance to go pro after jr year as well.

I hope the staff can pull 2 qbs this year or next year.

You really over-thought the hell out of that. I'm just saying that you give a guy, ANY guy, time to develop. A lot of people have inauspicious starts. Rohan Davey was beyond bad, for instance. Jamarcus was so scared he wanted to be taken out. Nobody things Etling is Brees. You can relax.

This whole board needs to stop being so relentlessly fricking gloomy. That's what The Rant is for.

Just FWIW, some off channel at ESPN yesterday was covering practice/s at the UnderArmor site & there was a short take on Haskins. While showing him at practice & some h.school game highlights, the 2 commentators were going through the schools that were recruiting him. When LSU came up, one said "that would be a long shot". Consider the value of that source as to what he actually knows but that was what HE said.

Me to, I would really love to see us land a great LB....but with the line we are amassing, we won't NEED a star at LB.

I'm not being gloomy, i just can't understand how you compared Drew Brees as a freshman backup to anything Etling did as a starter at Purdue.

At least if you are going to make a point about Etling, do it with somebody like Brandon Allen for example.

That's all I was getting at.

Ed Oliver is such a stud. Wish he would have given LSU more consideration.

Drake Davis- locked and loaded to commit to LSU this Saturday :)
Delance- Texas lean at the moment. Don't be shocked if he picks LSU.
Michael Divinity- will commit next week. Opened up his spot for another player to commit at the game because he wanted a few more days to think. LSU is the favorite, but he is still considering A&M
Rashaun Smith- Will commit to Clemson on Saturday
