Recruiting question about Faulk?

Maybe this was answered but since Faulk is related to Ryan, he should be allowed to go to his house to visit ‘other family‘ as often as he wants right? Especially during the pandemic. Really no excuse if we lose this kid.....

No excuse? It's a free country and people can go to school where they want.
The interstate travels both ways. It's incredibly naive to celebrate 5-stars from other states coming here, while gnashing your teeth over Louisiana players going elsewhere.

If I'm Faulk, I showed up at this house today and set the record straight.

I don’t know about a face to face encounter, but I’m sure Faulk and O have asked WTF. Only Alabama could pull some shite like this off for a kid like Sage.

I don’t think anyone is upset losing Louisiana recruits to any school other than Alabama. If he wants to chase championship at Clemson, let him. But nothing but bitter taste when they go to Alabama. Dylan Moses ran to Alabama for championships and a high draft grade. Meanwhile he has 1 championship, same as he would have at LSU, a torn ACL, and we had 2 LB taken in the 1s last year.

That’s kind of the point.

I’ve heard this last year how hard it is to pull 5 stars from out of state when we lost the 5 star wr to his home team Maryland and Burch to the home team we just steamrolled. Both losing programs.
Kinda hard to accept losing a 5 star in your backyard when u
1. coming off the best season in history of college football
2. Is related to one of your coaches
3. Plays a position on defense that you are known for putting more successful prospects in the NFL than any other team in cfb
4. Pretty weak at that spot and would likely start as a freshman
Makes no sense

I grew up in a different state and went to LSU. Some people want to go their own way.
I don’t know where he will go. Would love for it to be LSU. If not, we will be fine.

Don’t lose to Mizzou and Miss St. in a what have you done lately world. Then you get the the top in-state guys to stay in-state.

Any of those other places have an a-hole alum like Ryan Clark stirring up racial shite against them from his national media podium?

So fricking stupid. Trev Faulk literally played for Saban but yeah it's all Ryan Clark's fault, just like everything else at LSU.

There has been ZERO DECOMMITTS bc of him.... he is as connected to this school then ever before, quit basing your opinion of him affect on what’s actually happening

I'd bet 90% of these kids have never heard of Ryan Clark nor know anything he's said. Can some of his comments hurt the program perceptionally? Sure but him having any kind of resonance in recruiting is ridiculous.
Weird things happen in recruiting every year and usually later the real happenings somewhat are clarified and its simple to justify why a kid went one way over another. Think about Arik Gilbert's recruitment. Same thing is what's happening with Ryan. It's just getting out earlier with Ryan. Bama has beaten us behind the scenes and quietly.
