Looks pretty good. Nice find.

I really toyed with the idea of nick-naming him MeKale "Mbembe" McKay, but I was really afraid no one would catch my uber-nerdiness.

In the 20th round, Suntiger selects, Alex Kozan, from Auburn. He will be my center.
Ht: 6'4"
Wt: 295 lbs
He may play guard, but I think he's better suited for the center position and played some center in an all star game. He's a really good run blocker, but I'm not sure he can put on the weight to play guard, not to mention that there are a lot of young offensive lineman at auburn. A LOT! And AU signed a Rivals100 center last year, but I think Kozan can redshirt, sit for a year, get some PT and then maybe start his last two years.

Maybe it's a Dinosaur joke.
Mokele-Mnembe is like the African Loch Ness monster.

I was going to make mention of something like that, but I didn't want to sound stupid.
Mainly I didn't want to be the first person to say. Thanks Dan.

I googled combos of Mekale Mmbeme and Mmbeme McKay until something came up.

Well I guess GCB is just a big nerd.

Indeed I am. It was a stretch of a joke. Mokele Mbembe is actually French for "one who stops the flow of rivers" after early French missionaries swore they saw a sauropod dinosaur (think: Brontosaurus) while traveling down the rivers of Africa in the early 1900's. I just figured a giant wide receiver with long arms and legs that was fairly obscure with a similar first name was an excellent comparison to a mythical dinosaur still living in the Congo. Both have remained in hiding for a long period of time, but I just hope McKay isn't a myth.

I have one that I use as well. Its pretty good, but just takes too much thinking.
When I am around people and the mosquitos are really bad/big, I would say, "These suckers are so bad, they give you a free shirt when they are finished."

can someone please explain to me how a fantasy league involving college recruits works please?
Posted on 3/13/12 at 2:10 pm to Mr. Hangover
It's not really a fantasy league, in the grand scheme of things.
Each team owner drafts a full Offense (11) and a full defense (11) for a total of 22 players. After that, we follow how each of the teams/players do in college. No scoring system. No money involved. Just bragging rights on who drafts the "best" players/teams.
Obviously, Cam Newton and Tyrann Mathieu have been great picks thus far. Many more have been great, but again, no scoring system on the teams.
There was talk about making this a "dynasty" type of thing, where each team owner has to keep only 85 players like an actual college team. That might get a little crazy, but it is an option.

The participants are given a random draft order assigned by a random number generator. We use a snake draft order so that the person that has the first overall draft pick doesn't pick again until the end of the second round.
All recruits from 2012 who signed a letter of intent are in the available pool of draftees (including post grads and junior college players unless someone drafted them in a previous year). Each participant has to draft a full team -- 11 offensive players and 11 defensive players and then 3 supplemental picks. The offense and defense have to be within reason. For example the offense needs to a have an offensive line and 6 skill players. You cannot draft 8 wide receivers, but if you'd like a one back set or two back set is up to you. The supplemental picks occur after you've drafted a full team and can be any player still available at any position.

Almost snagged him as my last LB. Great speed (10.8 100 at 225 is impressive) and he's very aggressive. But I ended up just sticking with the guy I had loved all along.

I hate to break it to you, but the explanations you are being given are bs. It is the company line. In actuality we are a secret society and our leader has sworn us to never discuss about really goes on in our meetings. Sure, we meet here to make our pics but the real fun happens when we all get together. The following video kind of gives you the idea. From now on, dont ever ask again about the RMD.
