Some Tidbits Regarding LSU:
quote:

JAIDEN BRAKER
5.8 RATING
6'3"|214 LBS|OLB
SOUTH GWINNETT
SNELLVILLE, GA
CLASS OF 2025
VERBAL 7/31/2024
Nothing yet has changed in Braker’s recruitment as everything is “still the same” and his LSU commitment remains.

The Snellville (Ga.) South Gwinnett four-star linebacker has been committed to the Tigers since late July but Alabama has been heavily involved here and recently told Braker that they’re “fighting for me.”

LAMAR BROWN
6.0 RATING
6'5"|280 LBS|OG
UNIVERSITY LABORATORY SCHOOL
BATON ROUGE, LA
CLASS OF 2026
UNDECIDED
After all the visits and all the courting, LSU could win out for the 2026 high four-star offensive lineman from Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab but UCF continues to impress him.

Even in the loss to Colorado, Brown loved his trip to Orlando and visiting with the Knights and he has some phenomenal relationships there. Brown “respects the program” at Colorado but he doesn’t talk much with the coaches there so the Buffaloes aren’t a contender right now.

LAJESSE HARROLD
5.8 RATING
6'5"|230 LBS|WDE
GAITHER
TAMPA, FL
CLASS OF 2025
VERBAL 6/22/2024
The four-star defensive end from Tampa (Fla.) Gaither was supposed to attend the USF game recently but he couldn’t make it because of Hurricane Helene as many are watching where his recruitment stands now.

Harrold committed to LSU in June and the word is that while many programs are trying to flip him that there’s “very little chance” he backs off his pledge to the Tigers.

Don't want to lose braiker.

He has the chance to be an edge or a big backer that blitzes.

Yep, I thought the same thing about UCF. I've hated them since they claimed to be the national champs and we played them in the Joe Burrow coming-out party. That was the first time I thought Joe may become great...

Such a random, low-level program for him to be considering. A commuter school in Orlando. Very odd.

He’s been interested in UCF since the summer. I looked up their coaching staff because surely there had to be some connection, but there really isn’t.

Herb Hand is their OL coach and has a good rep and Trovon Reed is on staff and obviously from Thibodaux

UCF has the 2nd largest enrollment (69K) behind A&M and has thrown a lot of money into building their athletic program. Maybe they threw a lot NIL money at Brown.

That's all I've got.

Yeah, I don’t see him leaving the state. You can’t let a guy this leave. Brad and Bo will lock him up

If this kid chooses Central Florida, well, I don't think he would be intelligent enough to see the field here anyway

Recent Upgrade on 24/7:
quote:

NEW 4-STAR: JAIDEN BRAKER, 2025 LB - LSU COMMIT

Jaiden Braker (Photo: Benjamin Wolk, 247Sports)
The more you watch Jaiden Braker, the more you got to like what you see. The LSU commit stars for Snellville (Ga.) South Gwinnett, where he's recorded 30 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and two forced fumbles in five games so far this season.

A sneaky big-framed off-ball linebacker, Braker owns a verified 6-foot-3 frame already in the 215-pound neighborhood. He plays extremely fast in pads, which is a reflection of his track and field prowess. Braker ran a handful of 11.1 100-meter times this past spring to put context to his athleticism.

Now a four-star 90 on 247Sports, Braker is a Top247 candidate who's setting the tone for a South Gwinnett defense allowing 15.8 points per game during a 4-1 start. -- Gabe Brooks, 247Sports national scouting analyst

Well he's the best player in the state for 26 even if Stewart is included so it would still be our loss lack of intelligence or not. Remember Dexter Manley? Dumb as a brick literally but that didn't stop him from being a dominant DT.
Flipside, have you heard Harold Perkins talk or watched him do anything other than rush the passer? Clearly not the brightest apple to fall from the tree. Bakers defense is "dumbed down" they say compared to Houses and Perkins still can't understand his assignment if it doesn't say "rush the passer". Yet we celebrate him as if he's truly a great player. He isnt. Perception can be reality but general rule is, its all in your head based on preconceived ideas.
