I will go with:

Lee

Hampton
Pickering
One spot open or Moore

that Hampton ends up making it to campus.

Well if Hamton makes it to campus this is exactly what's going to happen and if not then they might look at transfer or JUCO and a top HS talent for next year. We have guys who can play multiple positions on on our defense though.

I think Stingley could easily slide to safety if they find that we have guys who are great players at CB but not anywhere else. You have Monroe who was hurt this year and then Harris and who knows what Lee might turn out to be but I'm leaning toward OLB also. He just has that big frame that will likes fill and he's just a big guy.

Brooks of course will take Delpits role once he leaves and do a great job IMO. Maybe better bc I think he will be bigger and play the run and pass with a more physical nature even though Delpit plays both at an elite level he doesn't hit like a LB and Brooks will while playing the pass just as good maybe slightly under Delpits level in the pass but not much and could get as good or better with time. Brooks is going to be one of those safeties that you do not want to meet up with as a WR for sure but some RBs and TEs will regret meeting him also.

If LSU can get the lines upgraded with elite talent and have it translate to the field this team will finally turn the corner and I think we're on the cusp of that happening. I know it doesn't show in the recruiting rankings but the WR recruiting the last 3 years has gotten much much better especially the last 2 and next year looks great also. I know the recruiting rankings may not suggest this but we took a dip there for a while and went with big athletes playing WR instead of pure WRs. That's changed. It's perfectly fine to take 2 like that every other year in hopes that they develop into this superb athlete who can play the position but to load up on those types isn't the way to go IMO. That being said I think Sullivan has a break out season next year if these coaches give him the chance. He could be exactly what we need in the RZ especially against these smaller schools. I don't think they would be able to cover him back there. Him or Marshall and possibly Anderson as well. LSU will also have more athletes playing TE next year with Pettigrew back, Moss healthy and the JUCO TE. Parker could also be a weapon there early in his development stage. He could learn to block while scoring like he wants as well. Then later once he gains weight, bc he will, convince him that OT is where his money is and body is growing into. I like wjere we're headed.

It is in the best interest of the program to win the battle in Amite, even if Ish never pans out, but at this point we can't have another Surtain situation.

Saban is way too logical for that. Flips like Surtain happen all the time. In the long run it doesn't mean a thing in terms of perception or significance. The dice seem loaded for Sopsher to be Bama bound if Saban wants him. Saban is not taking him for window dressing.

Wasn't Sopsher's brother reclassified to next year's class? More and more I think about it, taking Sopsher this year is a huge gamble because of his work ethic, so I'm leaning on not taking his brother next year! If that cost us this year, so be it! I want some high motor guys who want to play every down and win! We've recruited so many big-time defensive lineman in the past that didn't pan out, that I want nothing but high motor guys! There's no guarantee in recruiting, but Sopsher isn't worth two spots (referring to signing his brother next year) IMO. Bring on Pickering and Young!

At this stage of the recruiting game, do we expect anyone to commit or will they all be signing day decisions?

Wow that happens this is a huge success I'm scared we are gunna get blanked on DL and I just cant figure out why they aren't breaking down the doors to be apart of this small defensive line class and the defense we have right now..

That was the best answer possible.

I hope O is focusing really hard on these 6 names and closing every single one. Screw Sophser honestly. Been a damn headache since the beginning.

These 6 would make this class perfect.

I’m not a big O fan and didn’t like the way his hiring was handled. That said, this statement is bull shite. He’s held onto Aranda for two years and beat the abnormally low expectations going into this season. The results may not be where we all want them to be, but he isn’t getting fired unless he has a 3-4 win season in 2020, which isn’t going to happen. You’re dreaming if you believe otherwise. Average to slightly above average results do not equal instability. That is just you projecting.

Christian Williams will be in this class, there is no slight possibility.

Is he even visiting? I just checked his 247 page and he's scheduled to visit A&M this weekend and Oregon on the final weekend before NSD. That doesn't seem to bode well for us.

Like it but i do feel one of the TEs, Parker/Randolph, make it in. Preferably at the expense of the jc kid.

Gathering info and reading the tea leaves here is my 2 cents on how the class finishes.

Sitting at 19 signees

Hampton, Lee, and Christian Williams are in the boat.. That puts you at 22.

Ray Parker is out. Garmon Randolph is in at 23.

LSU will make a final push for Ish, Young, or Moore this weekend. Ish is going to Bama...coaches already know this. Fingers crossed they can convince Young to flip or Moore to sign. That would put you at 24. Celebrate. Stick at 24.

Doomsday scenario and whiff on the 3 DL then just stick to a 23 man class.

With late recruit downgrades, LSU will need to hit on one of the DLinemen to secure a Top 5 class. For those that care about ratings.

You're forgetting about Soni Fonua. He could make it in the class

I think we may pass though.

If they don’t sign one of the 3 lineman you mentioned, they will definitely offer Fonua a spot (if they haven’t already)
