Rounds don't matter. It's what money he's offered and he can still be offered more money than where he's slotted.

You going to feel this way if we strike out on the other DL targets?

I hope Ed will be telling the others that bama is about to add Ish to their already-deep DL haul, as well. We have to get one of them to come here in this class.

“There goes ”Ish”

Honestly I dont like sound of that.
There is no integrity there. I know we need DL, but if he chooses not to come here after LSU offered his brother, then it’s time to fill that spot with someone who wants to be here.
No one player is bigger than LSU.

There has been lots of smoke from multiple outlets that Rodney was gonna go the CC route and Ish would end up at Bama. If we can pull two of Moore, Young, or Pickering I would be just fine

Right...but can we do this?

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we cannot...we seem to be trailing for every DL prospect that we're after, and we're only a couple weeks from NSD.

Ed isn't done in this class. This is where we need to see him land a big fish. If he cannot, and if Parker doesn't end up here, then this class, as good as it is rankings-wise, will still have holes...and they'll both be on the lines at SDE and OT.

If young really sees himself making a name for himself and getting playing time at bama rather than us, he’s crazy.. especially if ish ends up there. I think this makes it more clear for him to flip to us. We are so thin next year at line it’s crazy

I agree entirely, but we see bama manage to get multiple elite prospects to sign onto the bench for multiple years in every class.

And here we are, doing all we can to get these guys to come here and immediately be in the rotation for us.

It's fishy.

Greek that scenario would be a recruiting wet dream if that happened.

. What does this mean? He can’t sign until 2020?

Yes, which means Bama can say they will sign him next year to get Ish this year, but then just not sign him next year. It is in the best interest of the program to win the battle in Amite, even if Ish never pans out, but at this point we can't have another Surtain situation. We need to fill out our roster best we can. Hope that means Ish, but if not, good luck whenever you aren't playing the Tigers.

On a side note, if we don't get Ish but Rodney qualifies, I'd like to see the coaches still offer Rodney a walk-on spot and if Bama backs off their word, I wonder if that might be an impetus for Ish to transfer if he isn't enjoying Bama.

Don’t think it’s a done deal with Ish. Everyone believes that his brother attending a JC confirms him signing with Bama. But they still haven’t offered his brother and won’t next year. Could O be doing some magic here? Could we be requesting him to go JC and still signing him next year? JS

Please stop deluding yourselves. Ish is going to Bama. He’s just playing the recruiting game.

I don't know why people are setting themselves up for disappointment. If he comes fine. If he doesn't fine. He's not the be all to end all.

Ish should go to JC w/ his brother. That way they can play together next year.
