I don't understand what y'all see in blue. I don't think he is good. He's isn't fast. He didn't do anything spectacular. Am I just being too harsh or is he any good?

Why else would a player decide to not attend his home town (much less home state) school that consistently contends for SEC titles and could win a national title during his tenure? I just don't are how a guy like him, could think he could do better elsewhere.
Why didn't Brandon Bolden?
Why didn't Zach Oliver?
Why didn't Stefan Lefors?
Why didn't Warrick Dunn?
Why didn't Travis Minor?
I know some of these guys were from different times, but being a local should not force you to stay local. I appreciate BR kids that go to LSU, but eventually, you have to move on if they feel that they have better opportunities elsewhere.

Some of those guys didn't have offers. Pretty easy answer in those cases.

What other guys?
Blue was ahead of both Ford AND Ware coming into the season.
obviously there is something there.
Why dont you think he can be that guy?
I'm well aware. Blue was ahead of Ford since the first game. And injury or not, I just never saw a guy that was going to carry the ball 15 times and be overly effective. I always thought he picked up the blitz better and caught the ball better out of the backfield than a guy like Ford, but at no point did I see something from Blue that made me believe he was going to be a force in the future. I did, however, see glimpses of that from Ware.

We will be at all the games. There is not many in the state that knows more about high school football, than the guys that I will be sitting with this weekend.
Not just LA. High School Teams.

Well we sucked as a program during Minor and Dunn's recruitments so nobody blamed them and the other three never had offers.

Same here.
You never get everyone in your state. Good thing we get kids from Ms, Bama, Fla, Ga. and Tx. for starters.

Ridley, Ford, Ware, and Hilliard next yr is pretty stacked. Not sure where Hill was gonna fit in that rotation.
If the kid wants playing time soon, then i dont blame him for decommitting

Lester Earl's "Cat's in the Cradle" moment in the middle of the Jeremy Hill meltdown.

Just don't go to Bama! They must be getting in his head

Not such a big deal losing hill IMO only so many guys can carry the ball. LSU gets big time runningbacks on the reg.

he is quick/fast/shifty. Think more balanced richard murphy with a bigger burst and lower COG.

He does have a fumbling problem from what i saw, other then that, from the times i saw him, he definitley has all the tools.

you also have to think that if he redshirted, after ware and ford graduate it will be all hilliard/hill with 2 years left.
Is anyone worried about La'el?

Watching Saban sit the Heisman Trophy winner from last year for multiple series, in favor of a back coming off of a sprained knee, probably caught his attention.
Lacy, with his academic background and less national attention, found his way onto the field this year.
Saban has a string of great backs that have achieved a level of success in the NFL. I'm sure all of these things are utmost on his mind.
I doubt Hill has had the opportunity to follow as closely the early playing time of heralded high school players at Alabama, as much as he can here in his backyard. People whining for Ford, then he finally sees the field and has success. Shepard averages more per carry than any other back, yet carries the ball with the frequency of our punter.
Ultimately, he'll do what's best for him. One thing for him to consider is that it is far more likely that Miles would see him through his graduation, than Saban would. I can't believe I just said that.

I'm just happy that we got the Mett news before we got this news. I can't imagine the wailing and weeping that would've followed if Mett had held off his announcement for another week.

If Hill has fumbling problems and fumbles in practice it is probably best that he doesnt come here if he cant get this fixed before practice at LSU. Les hates fumbling!

Luckily the fake fumbling myths left with Porter.
