does anyone else not see this as a big deal? hillard, gore, blue , ford, mcgee?? I mean how mean young running backs does LSU need?
Was thinking the same thing. Let him go if he wants to go, and don't fill his spot with another RB.

Like others, I have been following recruiting and college football for a long time, and understand the dynamics of numbers, and talent, and the fact that there is only one ball.
One ball and a guy like Gore, Turner, and Blue will never touch the ball as much as a guy like Ridley, Hill, or Hilliard.

He's quick enough to play a lot of positions and big enough as well.
He reminds me of Ray Rice.

Yeah good call. Low center of gravity and powerful legs.

Blue needs a position change, and I don't think Turner winds up at RB

Was never impressed that much with Blue, as he got quickly passed up by Ford and Ware. Blue needs a position change.
Blue got passed up because he got injured.

Have you seen all those other running backs play in college? Do you know how Gore and the freshmen are going to fare? Please enlighten us into your insight.
Have you seen Jeremy Hill play in college?
Ive seen Ford, Ware, and Blue all take carries in a college game, and all have shown to be capable to be really good SEC RB's.
I don't know what Gore will do. Change of pace, KR/PR potentially. Trindon type of role.

I figured Blue stopped seeing PT because Murphy came back. They essentially are the same player, in my mind, anyways.

Ridley
Guess everyone thought he would be this good coming out of high school?
Folks, you never know who will shine in college.
Everyone gets the same chance, what they do with is their choice.
Same way in the Pros.

Yep... and his recover was slowed. Giving ford the opportunity.
Blue got injured when ware tweaked his MCL slightly. They were both out the same weekend but Blue's was an actually injury and not a cautionary sit out

Blue was healthy as of the Alabama game

You obviously haven't seen Blue play college football.

I don't really care if you believe me.
I'd say enough people around here know how closely I follow recruiting....

Had a sense this could happen.

I think Hill will stick with LSU in the end. 'The Fam' get-together at the end of January should really pay off in this particular situation. JMO.

I'll get crushed for this, but I'm a big believer in the thought that if you don't think think you can compete and beat the best...then shite on you, I don't want you. This is certainly nothing personal to J Hill, but if you don't think you can beat out Mr Hilliard....go somewhere else.

There's just a ton of Hill fans on here (and rightfully so, he's a good player)
But Hillard didnt have La'eL blocking for him.
That being said. The timing is the day Mett signs, brings people down a little from this ultra high.
And FWIW I like Lester ..at first he was just a douche but lately he has been right on in many posts and I think he just misunderstood and needs a hug. Wheres that JPL guy?
Time for sleep ....feel free to tear the house down.
Makes you wonder why this happened on the same day. Then again I am paranoid...so go figure.

Some people are getting a little bent out of shape over a 17/18 year kid's decision about his future.

Browsed thread but maybe just missed it. Has there been a mention of what caused the decommit? This isn't a UM situation, and he still says LSU leads so was it just love from other schools? Long hard look at depth chart? Offer from school he wasn't expecting?
