Now if Malveaux carried it 27 times he would have had 400. That kid is spectacular.

Would love to see him at Navy or Air Force (or Harding U)

from what I saw of him, just spot the ball. Yes he may be missing some measurable but he is dynamic to watch and threw it very well on the intermediate stuff. There has to be a place he can play somewherw on TV.

This 2025 RB class is going to end up like some of those WR classes from the past.

Glad Harvey is back, I had been checking & hadn’t notice any stats or write ups.

Any idea where he is leaning?

Calling Houston a legit power 4 offer is pretty disingenuous for somebody who knows better like you. Nothing about Houston is realistically power 4/5. Their inclusion with their AAC brethren is the reason the big 12 won’t be considered a power conference for much longer. It has destroyed the conferences legitimacy. It’s as much a group of 5 school by realistic metrics (middling group of 5 at that ) as imaginable.

Something needs to change with our running game, and while I know there is a big weakness in interior push and athleticism, the scheme, especially when it comes to complementing what guys are capable of, and how to not be so predictable, is not good. JD allowed us to hide these weaknesses in the run game, but when it comes to running the ball with backs, we’ve been below average and getting worse for 3 years.. Who knows how good our backs would look if they could get some forward momentum going and have a hole to run through.

Message I got from a knowledgeable NELA person

quote:

Overheard Neville’s DBs and LBs commenting several times about how strong Lindsey is and how much trouble they were having getting him down

Lindsey is easily the best back in the state. ASH’s O line has become a force. And last night ASH’s defense stepped up to another level.

If Nate Sheppard would've done what JT did last Friday this page would be 2 more pages plus multiple other threads started about him by same cast of characters

Shame that such a fine season was shortened due to injury.

On that note, there are rumors that Westgate's Jaboree Antoine will return from injury vs. St. Amant.

Jamarcea Plater - Captain Shreve - Class of 26

over 2,000 yards and 31 TD's.

Hudl

He's really made a name for himself this year with a new head coach at Shreve.

Great first round matchup vs. Peyton Houston and Evangel Christian

Which reminds me...doesn't Shreve have a LB named Peyton Houston?

Lindsey with 418 rushing yards on 43 carries in last 2 games against Ouachita and Neville. Neville shut down Simon for the most part. Not too shabby

Here are some of Xavier Ford's national rushing stats for the 2024–2025 season:
Yards per carry: 10.7, compared to the national average of 5.3
Carries: 254, compared to the national average of 26
Rushing yards per game: 272.7, compared to the national average of 20.4
Rushing touchdowns: 42, compared to the national average of 4

Ford is a running back for Leesville High School in Louisiana. He's ranked in the top 5 nationally for one stat, and in the top 1 in Louisiana and Division II Select for multiple stats.

Ford had already broken the career touchdowns record, also held by Cecil Collins, earlier in the season in the Wampus Cats' win over DeRidder. Ford now stands as the most prolific rusher in Leesville history with 7,857 yards and 110 touchdowns in his career with the playoffs still remaining for the senior.
