Question: if we’re openly and defiantly not playing the NIL game as BK has repeatedly said

Wouldn’t that open the door for schools who do play that game to target our recruits because they know it’s a good use of their time and resources and they’ll more than likely outbid us? I mean we’re pretty much the only school in the country pulling the quality of commits we’re pulling because we’re a prestigious program who wins and has a great brand, but also isn’t willing to pay kids big money.
You’d think that if BK isn’t interested in playing the NIL game he’d be playing the “Art of War” game and pretending that we have the biggest NIL dick to anyone who will listen, no? It’s pretty obvious at this point that these kids do not value development/NFL success/the prahcess nearly as much as straight cash.
Just really not understanding the strategy here:
1. Get great commits because we’re a winner with a great brand and a bunch of NFL stars
2. Refuse to pay them what other comparable programs are paying
3. Tell everyone who will listen that we’re offering the process and that money is gay
4. Act shocked when programs put together huge bags and target our great recruits who are openly agreeing to come here for no money
5. ????? Profit

If we don’t buy them we end up with a shitty record like 8&4…
Oh Wait ……

Why do you think we’re not paying significant money?

Never said we’re not paying significant money. I’m saying that we’re not opening the checkbook for kids we could really use and it’s a smart strategy on paper but it’s not working in the real world.
State your case if you believe otherwise. The proof is in the massive holes in our roster, the terrible transfer class we brought in last offseason, the fact that we’ve lost 3 five stars and counting this year, and oh yea, the fact that our coach openly prides himself on not getting into bidding wars and has said it multiple times in conferences
