just pray he doesn't end up at like Ole Miss and wreak havoc on us in the future.
He has all the talent in the world, just needs some coaching.
He needs a lot more than coaching. He is just awkward looking playing football.
Someone said he made a play against Georgia state. He probably just ran straight. He couldn't hold up in thr run hame at all. Not big enough to play end.
Not quick or agile enough to play jack.

There’s a reason Weeks wasn’t playing

He is a tweener, not big enough to be a DT, not explosive enough for DE or fast enough for the Jack.
Maason talked about him needing to bulk up to play DT, but apparently he sees himself as a edge rusher or DE.

House didn’t know that Perkins needed to play for half of ‘22. This year, apparently Toviano wasn’t an option until he was the only option. He looked better than anyone we had.
I don’t have a lot of confidence that House knows who should be playing, which is the main part of his job, but seems to be his weakness.
Remember when Mike Jones was our captain and best LB?
This is a great point lol.

It was mainly how Chavis used his DEs that didn't really get him to the passer much.
Right! Danielle Hunter was used brilliantly by Chavis, who fielded the only defense in America that could stop anyone. Chavis stopped power and he stopped dual threats that befuddled Nick Saban. He did it by playing two-gap technique. Chavis employed strategies that made the LSU defense shine; he wasn’t trying to burnish an individual player’s stats.

I remember Moscona talking about the SDE position a lot during camp when the media had so much access to practice. Say what you will about Moscona, whether you like him or not is irrelevant, but he admits he’s not some football Xs and Os guru (now baseball is a different story
). But because practice was in the morning and his show is in the afternoon he was able to go to most practices and relay what he saw through a layman’s eye.
He seemed to focus a lot on the SDE position for a couple of reasons. 1) the fans’ excitement about Womack and Wiggins (and Heard on the other side), and 2) how good Savion looked (he was not the only one to predict Savion was gonna have monster breakout season. More on that later).
But he said that just 3 guys were really running at that SDE position in the drills against the 1s and 2s on offense. Savion, Womack, and Wiggins. (No idea where Shand was at this time). But he said the drop off from Savion to Wiggins/Womack was staggering. Womack was just not strong enough yet—he was getting dominated every rep by both Emory Jones and Lance Heard. (Begs the question why he didn’t begin at the Jack unless it was just for depth. Again, where was Shand?) And he said Wiggins was getting dominated just as bad, but it was less to do with strength and more to do with just technique, which Wiggins apparently had very little of. He just had not played enough football to develop the skills necessary to compete against SEC RTs, and the ones he was going against were a true SO and a true FR. Obviously, Wiggins suffered from the lack of DL coaching.
So Moscona (and I heard other guys echo similar thoughts) wasn’t really worried about Womack and Wiggins simply based on where they were in their development. He was worried about the huge drop off between Savion and them and that not only would it be devastating if he got hurt, but he might not be able to come off the field for breathers, the gap was that wide.
Anyway, sucks that Wiggins didn’t pan out. Maybe he’ll land somewhere where he’s higher in the depth chart and can get more one on one attention and development. But I think him leaving means they probably feel good about Shand and Womack sticking around and Jones being better. Marlon Favorite was really talking highly of him yesterday on Off the Bench. Yeah, he looked slow and wasn’t great at setting the edge. But I think it underscores just how weird the SDE’s responsibilities are in House’s scheme. We fans don’t know what they really are. And I’m not sure the players even know. I’m not sure House is a great communicator. At least on this level. He either wasn’t able to communicate want he wanted to the players or to the position coaches. Whatever, it wasn’t getting through to the players. So if we do replace him—and I think we will—even if the new guy runs a 3-4, I think it will allow the SDE position to make more plays.
Also encouraging was seeing Womack making plays by the end of the season. I know there’s a narrative some of y’all buy into that the coaches play the wrong players, because they’re either too stupid with their evaluations or play favorites or whatever nonsense. I think it’s more players are not the same guys in November that they were in August. So Womack playing indicates he was able to get stronger in season and developed his skill set. So instead of whining about why he didn’t play more, I’m much more excited about just how much better he’ll be with 9 more months of strength and conditioning and development before we open against SC in Vegas.

As mentioned if you aren't getting playing time with this teams defense you must not be very good. Truth hurts
Would you say the same about Weeks?

You're comparing the amount of playing time Weeks got with how much Wiggins played?
That's absurd.
