Anyone know anything about this kid? Couldn’t find much, maybe a walk on

6-2, 275 pound DT from Mandeville. Played at St. Paul's. Was an all-district, all-metro and all-state selection. 109 tackles, 28 TFL's, 7 sacks as a senior. Supposedly runs a 4.9 40.
Originally committed to Alabama as a preferred walkon and then Oklahoma State pulled him away.

Sounds like someone we’d await on the team.
How did he end up a preferred walk on in Oklahoma?

Found his HUDL film from high school.
Not bad.
He's squatty and he doesn't have the long arms you want, but he's quick off the ball, he plays super physical and he hustles.
This is a nice addition for depth. He won't start for us, but he'll be another credible player on the scout team that'll make our offensive line better.
We didn't have a good walkon program under Orgeron. Guys like this will improve that. Kelly is quietly rebuilding that piece for us.

Congrats to Preston. Always like it when kids from Louisiana have a chance to come back.

Can you clowns stop posting that shite in every thread. Everyone knows we need linebackers, no need to say it in every thread.

Could end up being a Josh Williams. Welcome Preston!

Preston was just on Scona. Said he measured in at 6'1" 300# on his official visit. It's great to get Louisiana kids back home.
I attended the state Semi final in 2021 where St. Paul's played Catholic High. Preston was up against Emery Jones all game and did very well. He also score a 2 point conversion at TE for St. Paul's to take the lead very late in the 4th quarter.

We need players who can stay through eligibility. Never know when we need to plug a hole with a veteran.

It's especially helpful on the offensive and defensive lines where physical development is so beneficial. Having a couple walk-on DTs that can take snaps, even if it's just against tomato cans, helps keep the starters fresh over the course of the season.
