Portal vs Hs

We don’t have a ton of high school recruits. I know it’s only June. This isn’t a panic thread. I’m more so curious. Kiffin has historically been a portal guy. His whole spiel on leaving ole miss was LSU in state recruiting. What do we think the split is this year

Just like the panic early in the transfer portal this year.Everybody was laughing at LK early this portal season but who got the last laugh.

I think LSU will ultimately use the portal to replace guys they lose to the portal and to add experience to weaker rooms in the recruiting class. I dont think any program that wants to compete year in and year out is going to be grabbing 40 transfers every year. You still are going to need a core group of players every year that you can build around.

I think we will get our share of 4/5 stars, but also take a lot of 3 stars that have high ceilings and low price tags. After a year or two if they don’t work it is no big deal.
Then use the portal for proven guys to fill our needs every year
