Pooka Williams Opts for the rest of the 2020 season

Says he wants to be closer to his mother while she’s battling this pandemic in Louisiana. We wanted another running back in this class and he fits the offense! Idk what’s going to happen with Curry but god Davis, Emery and Pooka next season would be heavenly! He’s only a Junior and I doubt he goes pro after this season. Ran for over 1,000 yards his first 2 seasons at Kansas while averaging more than 5.0 yards per carry in each. Also since opting out now, would he still be a Junior next season?

This year doesn't count for anyone. Even Myles Brennan will still be a junior next year.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he sees a chance to step in and be the starter at LSU.

He probably did something to be suspended again and Les Miles is doing him a solid by saying he is opting out for Covid. He won’t be at LSU any time in his college career.

I don’t think he’s interested in attending another college. Don’t really think he was interested in the first place. He will declare for the draft.

I wonder if he's going to be on the team for 6 years
I don't really think he's shown enough to leave early for the NFL draft (it's questionable if he's even an NFL talent) unless he blows up next season.

?? kid has done more than any RB, on LSU's roster, (in college and highschool).
Anyway it appears he genuinely has concerns about his mom, and that she's really sick, and it doesn't sound like he has any plans to go back to any school, word is he is just going to prepare for the draft.

Fallguy was referring to M. Brennan, not pooka. I think brennan will eventually at least get a look in the NFL. He showed something before the injury. I agree he likely won’t declare after this season.
But I agree with you about pooka. He’s prepping for the draft, and he will get picked.
