Kipp Adams did a follow up with Hootie and his family last night. He hasn't been given the "ok" to report what he was told by them but he put in his CB this morning for LSU. So there ya go...

do yall realize that hootie signed his financial aid agreement with lsu a while back...LSU IS LEGALLY BOUND TO TAKE HIM

I am not too up-to-date on this new thing with the financial aid paperwork...does this somehow bind LSU to offer him a football scholarship? Or does this mean the university has accepted his application? In what way does this bind LSU?

The latest from Ponamsky/Hannagriff/Ott-in reaction to this thread-Hootie decommited from Bama. Saban DID NOT pull scholarship. LSU has had no contact in TWO WEEKS-"this is water tight". He has talked to Ohio State. He can not visit Ohio State bc of dead period. Ott-chimes in and says LSU has cooled on Hootie, and moved on. He thinks-if he were to guess- that Jones sticks with Bama. Largely because he is an EE and can't visit elsewhere.

Hannagriff calling out people (RIGHTLY in my estimation) for shooting the messenger.

LSU has to honor his scholarship if he chose to attend LSU. Same with Bama. So DP saying anyone was "cooling" on him was complete BS...neither school can "cool" on him.

No fricking shite...

Still LSU has to explain this to both players so there are no issues. Is Hootie comfortable moving down to OLB if Adams moves to SS? Yea, coaches project positions but we may land the best FS in the country next year or SS. These positions can become fluid.

I don't disagree with anything they said on 104.5 today. People that flipped out aren't very good at listening. Everything they said is plausable, nothing earth shattering, and Ponamsky was clear about what was a fact and what was his opinion.

I understand that most of the board likes Hootie, but what is the point of trying to bring personal attacks into this. If you disagree with DP that's fine, but everything beyond that is incredibly poor taste...

I don't know the particulars but financial aid doesn't have to be football does it? I would think even if financially obligated they could make it difficult for him if they don't want him there.

But this is clear to me. Regardless of if bama dropped him or not bama is not where he wants to be right now. LSU probably doesn't want another Safety regardless if JA plays a different safety position in HS.

Bottom line is had he chosen LSU he wouldn't be in this situation.

I'm not a big fan of DP, but the guy does have some good sources on this coaching staff. That's why he basically never gives any kind of bad opinion towards them, he isn't burning that bridge and losing contacts. So you can't really completely dismiss what he's saying.
