If it got me the #1 OT, DT/DE, Buck and QB, I'd give up a solid 10 schollies.

How about 8 total schollies then? Would you give 2 schollies apiece for the #1 at each of those positions?

For 2020, you give up 8 schollies right now, and you get signatures from these guys right now:

- Paris Johnson
- DJ Uiagalelei
- McKinnley Jackson
- Arik Gilbert

You? I'd do it.

Who is going to keep Rodney eligible? How is Ish going to react to Rodney not making the grades?

Rodney Sopsher...he's smart AF. Don't even get me started on his insane motivation level.

Humanely...he will show a sort of calm compassion that's rare in this world.

I hate LSU is going to have to turn down two other potential four star caliber players..

You don't turn down anyone. Do I feel that LSU should make the deal? Considering what we have signed, yes. That said, if another guy pulls the trigger on a commitment first (Moore, Pickering, etc.) and the Sopshers are still dragging around, then they're out of luck. We said take Sopsher if he commits, not turn down a no-brainer while waiting on him.

We have plenty of room right now...even if we hit on the Sopshers, we might not fill the class.

I actually think O likes the whole transfer thing...it did work out really well for him last cycle, as it turns out.

Sadly, I think this really tells you all you need to know about his preference and his want for Alabama to offer his brother.

Then this recruitment should have LONG been over, right? Bama's not wasting one of their spots on his brother.

If the recruitment is down to two schools and one has indicated they are willing to pay your "price" while the other clearly isn't, then why are we still talking about this?

I'm sorry, but it's abundantly clear he really doesn't want to go to LSU. That's completely ok. It's his decision. However, I don't know if I really want a guy (no matter how good he COULD be) who (1) already has motivation questions and (2) doesn't really want to be at your school.

I get that O badly wants him if for no other reason but perception, but this seems to be getting absurd.

i agree. if he truly was interested in LSU and has the package deal he wanted, then he should have signed with LSU. He is hold out for Bama to meet his demands.
I hope Coach O recognizes the play here and has something up his sleeve to screw over Bama

Starting a bad trend.
A bad trend is losing to Bama every game since the National Championship in 2011.
If we want to compete against the only true dynasty in modern college football, we have to get as many elite players as possible. If that means giving an extra scholarship to get the number one DT in the region then so be it.

ESPN has to have their annual LSU/Bama battle over a top Louisiana recruit.

So what limits this kids demands?

And say this kid and his brother are signed does his current demand indicate he could become an 'issue' once signed and dosen't get his way ?

Coaches need to pull his scholarship NOW! I’ve been saying thru the whole recruiting process to leave this kid alone & look elsewhere

Need to drop him like a bad freaking habit.

Prediction: He’ll be a bust at LSU or a consensus All- American at Gumpland. He doesn’t really want to be a Tiger.

Call me cynical and skeptical...I see Bama pulling some last second deal. But I don't see Saban giving in to the demand of a scholarship for his brother.
A cushy job and paid tuition maybe but neither he nor LSU should give in to a scholly for Rodney!
Just my opinion..

I read a source earlier from the all american game practice that Bama isnt even top 3. Its LSU, A&M and ole miss supposedly. Bama is in the next group.

Bro, Lanard Fournette isn’t terrible, but do you think that dude is on our roster without his brother?

But is he really gonna go to Ole Miss over LSU? We can say he doesn’t want to be here all we want, which is probably true as of now, but we most likely get him in February.
