That's what I'm wondering. He wants to play next to a good WR (LaFell, Toliver-LSU, Jones-Bama) but he's scared of competing with Benton, who's never set foot on the field either? I'm not buying it.
If they want to know who Reuben is competing with, go to lsusports.net, pull up the depth chart and look for anyone with a WR next to his name. There's your competition. Beat them.

If anyone believes that Miles is lying or allowing anyone on his staff to lie to any recruit, then you should have your head examined. I don't know exactly what happend here, but I am confident that it was not because Miles was lying.

Based on dmitch's last posts and now the radio interview, I think it is clear that Rueben will not be at LSU next year. I interpret dmitch's posts to mean Rueben will be at Oklahoma.
1) he mentioned that someone who was bashing BAMA might be hating on the wrong team.
2) he mentioned that the Auburn visit never happened.
That leaves LSU and OK. IF it aint LSU, process of elimination leaves OK. Congrats to Stoops and good luck to Rueben.
The timing of dmitch's posts and the dad's radio interview seem to have been well orchestrated. For that to be the case, the decision had to be made some time ago. Long enough ago for the Randels to have contacted LSU.

Exactly -- and wouldn't he have competed against both of them. The XY and Z positions aren't like left tackle and left guard on an offensive li ne . They don't really have separate skill requirements.
You basically have a 3-set and you're looking at who's your top 3 wide receivers, not who plays what position etc.
You're not going to have a guy as your thuird team X receiver if he's better than your starting Y and Z guys. (Unless, maybe, it's Xaavier Carter and he takes a knee on the goalline.
