There is no more signing. That ship has passed. You won't know for sure until they attend class.
Sure there is, just not a NLI.

I guess they can sign autographs. They just can't sell them.

Once they sign scholarship papers, the school can announce and discuss the player.

Reclassifying is a poor term. Very rarely, basically never, does a basketball player graduate early.

Probably 99 percent of the time, these kids are prep school kids who are just reverting back to their original class, or to a class just one year ahead of normal rather than two.

It's been happening for years. Muhammed didn't change. Noel actually moved to his correct class. He had repeated a grade when he went from public school to prep.

Everything you said is entirely correct, but the 2012 class is the weakest group of players I have ever seen and that's why I think a lot of guys from 2013 took an extra class or two to become members of the 2012 group (Noel and Purvis in particular).

Also, we are seeing fewer guys like Tyler Hansbrough stay 5 years in high school when they are dominating the competition, which is why the top 2 2014 kids, Andrew Wiggins and Noah Vonleh, are looking at joining the 2013 class.

What I'm surprised we don't see more of is players going to prep school and then declaring for the NBA draft. They are eligible one year after their original class graduates.

When are they allowed to sign scholarship papers?

they can go to the D-league or europe as well and get paid. They obviously are getting taken care of very well in college

John Wall thought about doing this, but he ended up going to Kentucky. Can't remember anyone else thinking about it. At the time that Wall thought about it, I remember reading some NBA Draft.net post about how the NBA might challenge the definition of original class graduation dates, based on transfers.

I don't have a definite answer. I tried to research this but I didn't find an exact answer. Basically the NCAA does not require a player to sign a letter of intent. Virtually everywhere the letter of intent was referenced, it was followed by the verbage "or the institution’s written offer
of admission and/or financial aid."

It did say that a player could not sign scholarship papers prior to the signing period, but it did not say specifically say that you couldn't afterwards.

It is my understanding that you can sign scholarship papers anytime during or after the signing period, but they are not binding. They do, however, authorize the school and the coach to publicly talk about you.

Drummond at UConn thought about it as well. He will end up getting drafted in about the same spot as he would've a year before. Basically risked a lot for nothing.

They still sign scholarship papers with the school, and that is when the school will make an announcement.

So Isaac's departure entirely based on academics?

Hamilton, Isaac, Turner, Warren, White, Bass all gone. This team is going to look very different next year.

Just 5 players are returning, I believe.

5 scholarship players returning, for now. Who knows if more are leaving, althought I doubt it. The only other possibility IMO, would be Stringer.

4 signees so far.
Odoh would make 5, which would be 10 scholarship players.

I'm not sure how many Johnny wants to give out this year. I don't know how realistic Pollard and/or Collins are.

Why is it that Isaac PROBABLY won't be back? Is there something that would allow him to stay, assuming he is leaving for academic concerns like reported

LSU Coach Johnny Jones said guard John Isaac will not return for 2012-13 season. Isaac failed to meet institutional, NCAA requirements.

LSU will sign another guard for sure, IMO. If not Collins, then a graduate transfer.

Haha i'm not trying to hold on to it, I was just seeing if there was any chance he comes back. I feel he wouldn't play much next year anyways

So, how does this affect the work of the Patron Saint of APR?

Shouldn't have any negative affect. LSU had 4 players graduate and Ralston Turner transferred in good academic standing.

The APR problems occur when you have more people leaving in poor standing than good standing.
